The reverse was happening at the start of P2 when Classic servers started to become imbalanced.
A lot of alliance went out of their way to try and tell horde players that they were killing their own servers, and asked Blizzard to stop allowing free transfers/to monitor faction balance when transfers were opened.
They were called care bears and told things like “go to a PvE server” “go back to retail” etc.
Interesting how it’s reversed in terms of who thinks they’re suffering now, but at the end of the day players do not care about the health of this game unless it is effecting their bottom line.
I see this repeated a lot. It’s just as stupid each time. Your server is NOT A MONOLITH OF ALL SERVERS. I am on a PVP server. Faction balance on my server was 70/30. But it wasn’t Horde favored. It was Alliance. Guess what. The player behavior was NOT FACTION SPECIFIC. Stop beating everyone over the head with your trauma. This is how you perpetuate this kind of behavior.

You value your feelings and thoughts so high above everyone else you don’t care what your decisions does, you don’t care who it impacts as long as you benefit. That is not just ignorant, it’s flat out arrogant. If you make a decision that has consequences, it isn’t my responsibility, or the responsibility of anyone else to accommodate you. Picking a faction in the game should have the consequence of what races you choose and other game related matters. Not literally being removed from content access due to bad programming. You’re a bafoon. Game wasn’t designed to create queue time disparities for BGs. Literally designed the opposite. But people don’t care, they only want to keep their instant queues at the cost of the game.

LMAO you act like it’s a personal attack to use the majority example of what was going on at the time and what is going on now.

Of course player behavior doesn’t change between factions.
Chill out and take the comment for what it is - I literally said that it’s interesting how around this time in Classic launch it was alliance suffering and now it’s horde suffering - that is quite literally making the statement that the behavior is not faction specific but related to player’s having their bottom line effected in the game.
Using Classic as an example of how catering to the playerbase during the beginning of an expansion launch will have negative effects to the long term players that aren’t just sight seeing to consume the bulk of the introduction content - Blizzard would be smart not to do anything about this until a few weeks before P2 is slated to go live so they can see what the playerbase does after the tourists have left.

I just hope blizz doesn’t fix anything and all these casuals quit and they lose all their sub money so then I can mine my nodes on my pve/PvP server in piece.

The majority faction is suffering in one aspect of the game right now.
The majority faction is also the majority faction in retail.
Retail has not seen a content drop in nearly a year.
Retail will have a content drop this month.
In the big picture, over the longevity of the game, having to sit 1 hour queues for a few weeks is not going to negatively impact the health of the game.

But it is, because the game was designed with this in mind. If you want a game that 100% benefits you on all fronts, go play Skyrim. The game is designed to cater to you and only you. An MMO is compromised of many people with many different thought processes and reasonings. You are not the end all decision maker here. Your opinion and experience means as much as mine. You wanted to play Horde, as does many others, as such there are high queue times everyone was able to see coming back in Classic. So as such you had a choice: Play the race you want to play and suffer the fact everyone else did the same, or play the opposite side.
Now suddenly it’s a huge issue everyone but you is responsible for. Every other horde player is suffering this same experience, yet not all of them are pointing fingers and blaming everyone else for their decisions. They wanted to play Horde, they are suffering long BG times, and guess what they are doing? Because they want to play Horde, they have accepted this yet still continue to PvP. So why can’t you? Why are you suddenly above everyone else in what is a community collective? Which is more important to you? Be Horde, or have faster queue times?
The game was literally designed TO HAVE BALANCED QUEUE TIMES. Literally. Battlegroups. Look them up idiot. They were designed around balancing queue times. Moron. This is 1000% a NEW issue with Classic only. Not a design intention. Disgusting. You don’t even know the game this was built from.
Right… Blizzard and any other game creator sits down and expects perfect 50/50 balance in everything everyone does… Do you hear yourself?
