So I’m play on a MSI GT70 2QD Dominator. Intel i7 GeForce GTX 970M with 8GB of memory and 3GB GDDR5.
For the most part I run about 100fps at mid-high graphics, but I have this almost constant stutter. Any advice what I can do?
What do you mean by “studdering”?
Does the studdering begin after a while when the laptop gets hot? I’d say for starters limit your max FPS to 60 because the extra frame rate produces more heat which lowers the rate eventually.
That might explain why my fan always kicks in so quickly.
Running a laptop with a GTX 1060 and similar problem. Even did a full re-install of windows and drivers. After a fair amount of playing I determined that the system heating up was the issue. One of the biggest changes I saw to performance was by limiting the background FPS to 30. Running lower settings to keep the laptop cool is my plan in general
