Graphics recommended settings

I recently got a new laptop with a 3050ti. Wow recommends a 5 on the graphics settings. Geforce Experience optimizes it at max settings pretty much. I seem to think it does pretty good in the middle at a 7.
How important is FPS??? Depending on where I’m at…it fluctuates between 35 and 80 fps on max settings or “optimized”.

How important is FPS? It depends on whether you want to play your game silky smooth like a movie playback or like a picture slideshow.

60FPS is the minimum you should be aiming for, as the human eye can only process FPS up to that much, or with some people, a little more. Anything past that and you may not be able to tell the difference (“diminishing returns”), sacrificing visual quality in the process.

You also have to consider when you’re by yourself in the world questing and again when you’re surrounded by people with all sorts of spell animations going off, like in a raid setting - hence why Blizz separated those settings.

So go with settings in each environment that’ll give you the best visual quality @60fps.

People are actually still saying this? lol

Pretty much…as newer generations are still asking why is it that we aim for 60. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You realize that what you said is completely fiction, right?

I took the time to look it up and cross-checked it with multiple sources before posting. Is there something else you read?

There’s a reason why 120-144Hz monitors are so popular now. It’s because the difference between 60FPS and anything greater is easily perceptible by the human eye.

That’s because current computer hardware are pushing those games well beyond 60 that it is causing screen tearing, so we’d have to have monitors that can draw that fast. That’s the reason why I upgraded mine.

Ok…well I have played with it a few days and with AA and RT off…my graphics settings don’t seem to affect my fps at all. This morning I turn it down to 5 and got 60 to 100 or fps…and with the settings on 10 I got the same fps. In the past I have had to turn down graphics to get fps…but this 3050ti doesn’t seem to really care either way.
From what I’ve read…all the 3000 series cards are doing that…no matter what the graphics settings you get the same fps.
