Since I do large-scale wpvp on a regular basis, which causes pretty bad lag with my regular graphics, I’m looking to make a macro to turn down the graphics settings (and possibly another one to put them back again). Nothing too fancy, like setting them lower than the sliders can go, I’m just looking for a faster way to re-adjust my graphics and can’t find any recent, working posts on the subject. Is this even possible? Thanks in advance!
You would need the help of an addon because of how big the macro would have to be due to the length of the names of the commands.
You could theoretically set up the graphics settings the way you want them in the Raid and Battleground settings tab, then use an addon to swap the settings between that and your normal settings when needed.
Thank you! Turns out I was definitely going about this wrong. There’s a setting you can keybind ( esc > keybindings > misc > Toggle Graphics Settings) to toggle between your battlegrounds/raids settings and your normal ones, which I would never have thought to look for without your suggestion. Thanks so much!

Holy cow, I presumed that it would automatically switch those settings when you got into/out of raids and bg’s.
It does automatically in raids and bgs, but when you’re doing an open-world “raid” organized by players (like, for example, having eighty or so alliance on white gryphons roaming around whacking people), it turns out you can switch to these settings manually.
