Graphics issues

Ever since the patch, I cannot see fishing holes, spells that generally travel to mobs, sparkles on loot… I AM getting that triangle warning that my graphics card is out of date but I’ve checked and all my drivers are the latest drivers. I am running a Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti.

I have my graphics quality set to 2. Happens at 1 also.

Any ideas other than buying a whole new system just to run WoW?

the minimum for graphic card is nvidia geforce gtx 760 or amd radeon rx 560 or intel graphics 630. if you have a good CPU (like a i5-3450 or AMD FX 8300 or better and 8gb ram) you could just get a new graphics card. the GTX 550 TI is not supported any more

Latwang,

You may be able to get some mileage out of specifically increasing Liquid Detail for your fishing pools and other individual settings like particle density for traveling spells while dropping other graphics settings. Beyond that, however, Eel is correct. That card isn’t really supported. Performance issues on older graphics cards are somewhat expected currently. That graphics card technology is over 9 years old and has had driver support discontinued by Nvidia, so while it’s had a good run, it honestly has lasted pretty long in the grand scheme of things in the field of technology. It may be time for an upgrade.

Note I did get a lot of relief from disabling vertical syncing, like the “low fps” thread suggested. I haven’t tried finding a pool of fish yet but most of my other issues are corrected.

But yeah, it’s time for an upgrade.
