Windows 10 just updated my Nvidia driver and now WOW says its out of date. It’s obviously a newer driver. It’s driver version 27.21.14.6280, just released last month.
Generally windows shouldn’t be updating your graphics drivers, typically windows update only provides old but stable drivers. If it did give you an update your drivers were likely very old or had some sort of issue. As far as I can tell driver 27.21.14.6280 released in december of 2016.
I would go here https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us and enter your graphics card and install the driver it gives you and see if it doesn’t clear up the error.

I could try the drivers from Nvidia. The one installed shows its from 06/09/2021. But WOW says its outdated. This is an HP Gaming Laptop and HP doesn’t list newer drivers on their site for it. That’s why I let Windows 10 update it.
I could be identifying that driver wrong. That driver number is hard to track down. If you posted a dxdiag I could tell for sure. But I would start by just installing ones from Nvidia’s site.

I have the same issue with my AMD Radeon video card, but when I do install the officially certified driver updates, I can’t even use Windows 10, let alone play World of Warcraft, without having to roll back to the most recent stable update, that was certified in May.
Use DDU to remove all copies of previous drivers, then grab the latest driver from the video card company, not Windows.
I have tried this method and even that doesn’t work, I can still only use the AMD graphics driver released through Windows Update or the official driver released in May by AMD, it is impossible for my PC to run the required graphics driver that Blizzard requires I install.

It should generally be safe to ignore the notification. The system doesn’t register weather or not the device is compatible with new updates and will only register if a driver or hardware is labeled outdated by our compatibility team.
