Graphics Card

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5500 XT GAMING OC 4G Graphics Card,1845 MHz Boost, PCIe 4.0, 4GB 128-Bit GDDR6, GV-R55XTGAMING OC-4GD is this good to run World of Warcraft, even overwatch?

WHY ARE YOU YELLING THO??? Seriously, why?

Edit: To answer the question, yeah it can run wow. Just not full ultra. Also, contrary to popular belief, for wow CPU tends to matter more than GPU.

For now, sure.

Get the memory up to at least 6gbs, at most 8gb and then it’ll be good. Honestly more surprised there is even a 4gb on a rx 5500 xt

Reason I suggest it is usually for resolution size, it may be different for WoW but the usual case is having at least 6gb for 1080p resolution. Unless you don’t have a monitor go up to it, then I guess 4gb is fine then.

Dunno about Overwatch, but for WoW, sure, why not?

You can run WoW on 10+ year old hardware by simply tuning the graphical settings to something more suitable for your rig.

Look at the recommended specs for SL’s that Blizzard has posted. That’s what you want, or better if you can.

Idk, but my little brother has an RX 570 4gb and an i3 8100 and it can run overwatch with no issues. I’d imagine WoW to be the same.

You can make Overwatch run decently on a potato if you know what you’re doing.

Computer broke down, ended up frying my current Graphics Card, which ran overwatch insanely. I have a DELL motherboard, so I can’t run a 6GB cause it’s garbage, do not recommend garbage dell. Also fried my power supply and my 2 ram sticks. I had to spend $650 for all these parts, and that was the best I could buy. I had to get 4gb only :frowning:

Just spend a little more and get a 5700XT

i don’t think he’s intentionally yelling. i’ll assume he copy-pasted the words from another website, and the formatting carried over as all-bolded-out when parsed by this forum’s engine.

as for graphics cards, i haven’t bought one since 2004 and it was a noisy bfg 5900 ultra --which did run WoW in 2008 until i retired that machine in 2010. i’ve been on laptops ever since with my current one having a gtx1060

I play on a Geforce GTX 680 FTW with a Pentium 4 940D. It plays fine, Who needs more than 14 fps.

An article on graphic card benchmarks. Your card is listed as about 20fps under the caves entry. Tests performed at 3440x1440 ultrawide resolution

Just a quick reminder than keeping your main graphic sliders at 7 is the preferred and recommended settings.

These are Ultra settings. Going to 10 is needlessly taxing for barely any quality difference.

Pentium 4 in 2020 feels bad man
