Graphics Card Question

I didn’t know where to go to ask this, so I was hoping someone here would maybe know something.

I got into the Shadowlands beta and after downloading it it’s telling me that my graphics card is out of date. I cannot find any updates for my current card. My graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX 660m 7 GB. The last update was:

Version: 425.31 WHQL
Release Date: 2019.4.11
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

And no matter what I do I cannot find any updates for it. Am I just searching wrong or am I really going to need a new graphics card aka a new laptop? Thanks!

While the 660m is below the min requirements for shadowlands, you will probably still be able to play, it just won’t be guaranteed.

You should be able to still play even if it’s warning you about an out of date driver.

That looks like the latest nvidia driver to me. It’s possible it’s wanting you to update your intel driver. You can check intel’s website to try to update it or post a dxdiag (highlight it all and hit the </> button) and we can help you find it.

This should help out. Go and download it. If this isn’t the right driver, look around for your model in the same website. It’s not telling you Shadowlands is too much, it’s telling you that the drivers are out of date.
Also, get rid of the ( to go to the link

update I think I found your driver update.

Same as last time. Remove the ( to go to the link. Hope this solves your problems

that is the driver he posted that he is using.

Huh… Then It must be what Toffle is saying. It might just be warning you that the Shadowlands doesn’t truly support your GTX. Not very sure though. If no graphical errors are occurring in the game, then it shouldn’t be a major problem.

Thanks for the help! This is the dxdiag info.

so that didn’t include your current driver but try installing this https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29802/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-33-?product=71459

Unfortunately, that one wasn’t compatible either. Pretty sure I can no longer update this laptop. Thank you so much for the help! So far the Shadowlands beta seems to be working fine so fingers crossed it will stay that way when it goes live.

The version just prior to the one linked to you earlier actually shows the 3630QM CPU in its supported list. The latest version does not. Here is the version I refer to that does support your CPU:

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/29473/a08/win64_15.33.50.5129.exe

On the off chance you’re running into one of the bugs from the Intel driver updates after August 2019, you can try this version as well:

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/28799/a08/win64_15.33.48.5069.exe

the version I linked does have the 3630qm in its supported list but if it wouldn’t install i think trying the older versions is a good idea.

My Graphics card RadeonRX500/550 series I is updated but on the enter world it says it is not updated. The Gamemaster are useless Saying I need to go here to ask this question

I don’t believe you card is supported, though it probably was 4 years ago.

GM support is rather limited on technical issues. I don’t suppose you have a upgrade path for your computer?
