Grace period for reconnection

The grace period to bypass the majority of the queue really needs to be increased.

I.e. I just got a random BSOD, computer restarts, log back in to wow… 7,000 person queue. I was disconnected for under 3 minutes, and Now I get to come back in 4 hours.

The queue is my choice in server, I get that… but the delay allowed to bypass it from things like an unintended restart should have a larger reconnection window.

no.
Needs to remain seconds (up to a minute max), if your computer gets a BSOD you have bigger issues than not being able to quickly get back into a game.

99.9999% percent of the time, a BSOD is an out of date driver. Which is a trivial issue. In my case, video card driver.

:expressionless:
I can’t even … I have never seen a BSOD just because of an out of date driver. Never.

I agree as I am in the same boat I wasn’t DCed for much longer than 1 min. Then was greated with a 9884 que now it’s down too 4799 and this is my Sat to get some stuff done!

Obviously they need to increase the server caps by 10k to fix the issues. Please add however many layers that is please and thankyou.

3 hour wait, play 10 mins, went to get a glass of chocolate milk gone a couple mins, DC looking at 5 hour wait now. Grace time is BS

Odd.

I havn’t had any problems with the grace period so far. I’ve been disconnected multiple times but had no problems getting back in. Gone afk for sometimes 10, 20 minutes before being disconnected from the server. Logged back in just fine. I also restarted my internet the other day because it was going slowly and logged back in just fine (was only disconnected for probably about 3 minutes).

How long is the grace period?

I changed realms yesterday for like 5 to 10 minutes, and it still let me back in immediately. I was surprised. I was expecting to wait in the full realm queue again.

You had 3 hours to get milk.

You see them all the time if you work in IT. its extremely common in a larger workplace that just upgraded anything on a normally closed system.

Also could be that version of drivers wont work with a newer windows updates (Headset/Keyboards and other external devices seem to be more prone to this).

No.
Seconds of grace is not nearly enough. A minute is usually not enough time for most people to reconnect, essentially rendering it useless.

This is so horribly wrong it’s laughable.

Haven’t seen any grace period yet.

Been dc’d numerous times, each time immediately logged back in and was thousands in queue.

Doubt one exists, if one does it’s nowhere near guaranteed to trigger for anyone.

Nah my brother just got home from the store with it. His game didn’t dc same server so idk.

There most definitely is a grace period. Although I’m not sure how it works because it seems that some people are not getting it when they are dc’ed.

This is the dumbest post I have read in a long long time. Congrats.
