I am trying to do the Windswept Balloon quest in Stormwind. I fly up to the balloon and when I click on it (right or left), I get the message “You are mounted”. How do I gather the balloons to complete the quest??
I just went there to check.
The Windswept Balloons I am capturing do not need you to fly up into the air. They are standing still, hovering just above the ground on the banks of The Canals.
I am riding around on the ground.
When I hover my cursor over their strings I get a Cogwheel icon. Then right-click picks them up.
If you are flying in the air, I can see why you can’t collect them. Just land, and it will work fine.

Many thanks! I guess the vague instructions got me. The only balloons I was seeing were high in the air, which would explain why the kid couldn’t get them. Thank you very much.
