once the Chinese new year is over production begins again in March, add in four weeks for transportation from China to the US warehouse (hopefully no inspections, port or rail delays). Early May at best, June into July at worst. Small releases like the RTX 3060 and RX 6700 donāt help. Nvidia & AMD need to flood each market with ten of thousands of each specific GPU not just a few thousand.
I find myself a bit jealous that theyāre able to celebrate CNY over there while here we had to pretty much cancel all of that.
Not that I really participate too much in it anyway, but usually itās a big event at my momās house where I cook a bunch of stuff and eat myself into a coma.
This year was a drive-by red envelope-ing and me cooking a bunch of food at home that my wife and kids didnāt overly indulge in.
I guess I still got the food coma though, since it was all me.
I did however use the pandemic as an excuse to skip out on giving envelopes to my less close relatives. So I saved a few bucks there, I suppose.

One of my co-workers is a Chinese national (has a work visa here) and he hasnāt been home in almost two years. Nice kid, I feel bad for him but his girlfriend is here so heās not 100% alone.
Weāre pretty much just role playing at this point. Family has been here since the 1920s. I canāt speak Cantonese worth a damn (Mike Myers does a better job probably) and I only know some Mandarin because of Netflix.

Wow no I stayed home so I wouldnāt contribute to the pandemic.
But that was my personal choice and I regret nothing.
Againā¦ I understood what he meant the NEWS made it seem like life was on hold but it was NOT true. Things were not cancelled or even less importantā¦ the MEDIA wants you to believe government is in control.
There were celebrations, travel, nothing was changed in realityā¦ in keeping with perception they made it SEEM like big holidays and celebrations were cancelled and maybe some people ASSUMED they would be, thatās what they want you to thinkā¦
But people just didnāt ANNOUNCE Super bowl party, Thanksgiving get togethers, and Christmas with familyā¦ but ALL of those things went on without cancellationā¦
