GPU Upgrade

I am looking to upgrade my GPU. I currently have a R9 270 with an i7-8700 cpu with a Samsung UR55 28” UHD IPS monitor. I mostly just play wow resolution is 3840x2160 and my card hates me :slight_smile: esp on ICC rates.

Debating between the 5700 XT or the 1660 Super as they are readily available. I could look at a RTX 2060 as well but they are harder to find before launch. Would prefer to stay below $500.

Try looking for RTX 3070. It sits at $499 if you can find it with stock.

You won’t like a 1660ti while playing at 3840x2160. You’ll want no less than a RTX 2060 if you have any desire for eye candy and decent FPS.

3070, if you can get one for 499, is going to be your best bang for buck

4K is doable on on a 5700/2070 perf cards.

If $500 is your limit a 3070 would be the preferred option or you can buy a 5700/2070 used.

If you can wait for a few months you’ll probably be able to get a radeon 6700/rtx 3060 class card in the $400-$450 mark and should still get 4K capable perf.
