GPU Upgrade Advice

I have a Ryzen 3 2200 CPU, currently Radeon 570 GPU.

Im wondering what my options are to upgrade my GPU before i hit a Bottleneck

What is your monitor resolution? Also, how much you wanna spend on GPU?

Ryzen 3 2200 is a slow CPU as well.

Entry lvl gaming monitor so its 1080p.

I know the CPU is considered slow now but it was an upgrade for me in 2019.

With my current setup im still hovering between 50 to 70 FPS in WoW, and ESO.

Would i see a bigger improvement if i just upgrade the CPU and keep the 570?

Try RX 6600 XT or RTX 3060. No budget provided…

Yes, WoW also demands speedy CPU. Update your motherboard BIOS and go for Ryzen 5 5600. If you have mid range to high end motherboard, you can go for 5800X3D too.

My current MOBO is Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H Micro ATX AM4

I was thinking about a 6600 but then i assumed the performance would get bottlenecked.

Yeah, low end board. Ryzen 5 5600 is the best you can go. The VRM might be toasty already.

Yup, 2200G will bottleneck the card.

So im assuming i might as well get a new board to go with that CPU, it would probably be similar in price any way to a 1660.

Thats up to you. GPU can change easily anyway.

Of course, thats just flipping a switch on the slot and pulling it out then seating another one.

Id still probably want a bigger board if i could though because the heat sink on the CPU over lapped over one of the RAM slots so I was stuck with only one RAM stick instead of dual channel.

Of course if i can keep the MOBO i have then seating a new CPU isn’t exactly difficult. Not really sure i could fit a larger board in my case anyway as it’s a Mid Size case.

What is the case brand and model?

Rosewill ATX Mid Size Tower, Blackbone, Blue LED light on the front fan.

Goes for roughly 45 dollars now.

Need specific model.

ATX can fit standard ATX board. No issue there. Double check your PC case spec.

Break open the piggy bank.

It can fit a standard board.

11.5 inch GPU, hell the 570 fit in it fine

just saw more of your spec on the other thread. i would upgrade that cpu first then get more ram.

you’re on a 1080p monitor so that GPU should be ok.

there’s a ryzen 5 5500 on newegg for $100 but i can’t link it for some reason.

Anyone know if the new requirements are implemented yet or does that happen when the expansion is actually downloaded?

So would a 5600x with a 6600 XT and 3600Mhz 2X16 work or does it actually need to be a 5600 non X cpu?

pre patch is running on the new engine. make an evoker and see how the game runs, since evoker starts in the new areas with the new assets

No issue. Just buy and use.
