Goxul the Devourer

…was this guy even tested?

My guildies and I spent an hour in Torghast tonight level 3 (Mor’tregar is severely overtuned in general, not just bosses. It should not have taken an hour to get through it when we blazed through the other wing in less than 30 minutes) only to meet our end on this boss.

We used heroism, 30% potions from the Broker, had a lot of powerful anima powers, and we couldn’t get him under 75%.

He summons his spheres way too often. You can barely get 2 GCDs off after you break his shield before he summons them again and you have to switch to them.

On that note, why is he getting a shield even when you kill all of the spheres in the first place? It feels punishing. Especially when he’s doing massive AoE damage WHILE gaining said shield.

He does insane damage with his unavoidable AoE. By the time he was at 4-5 stacks of the stacking buff, his AoE outright killed me.

Wowhead comments mimic this. Everyone complaining about how he’s pretty much impossible in level 3 right now, and you have to hope you get a different boss, or hope you have the right classes to CC him to reset his stacks before they get too high to kill you all with the AoE.

And before anyone asks, we had a tank, 2 dps, and a healer. It was not the group makeup.

Yea… I give up, this guy is way too busted.

I got him down on my 3rd attempt. The best power you can get is the health of hitting new creatures. Every sphere heals you. Just gotta try to be close to max health before his jump and the spheres spawn.

Really its just luck when it comes to getting good anima powers

Well it kind of is the group makeup :upside_down_face:. He was pretty easy solo but I am guessing he doesn’t scale well or you could say he scales too well.

None of the new bosses where tested. I’m seeing a lot of people getting trashed by the bosses this week. Seems blizz forgot what a roguelike is and they are making the bosses raid boss level. RIP fun content.

This is how I beat him as well, even as an Unholy DK and dumping all defensive cooldowns, in addition to Lichborne + DC + DC damage/healing anima bonuses, with Abomination Limb +2s/rune spent (Abom Limb was up the entire fight), and in addition to added defensive layers from increased Anti-Magic Shell effectiveness and that healing on hitting new enemies anima power.

It still took me up to my 4th attempt to beat him solo. He is way overtuned.

I was even highly abusing Abomination Limb death gripping to interrupt a good chunk of his casts, especially the un-interruptable one (the leap I think?) many times. The problem is that stacking buff he has, it scales him WAY too hard.

I found out when I was doing it today that it automatically kills the adds the final boss spawns when I death griped them. Very satisfying.

It’s growing Buff and Mass Devour are what makes it so stupidly hard, you can’t even interrupt Mass devour you have to use CC and not everyone has quicktime CC’s so this fight is tuned for maybe 40% of the classes, this was my floor 12 boss and it felt like I had wasted 2 hours of my life, I think I’m going to jump on the wait band wagon like all my friends and let my sub go out and come back in a few months.

o.O level… 3… what?

please tell me your joking… p..please?
