I have the opposite problem. All I get from the vault are tier items. This week 2 of the 3 m+ slots were tier. I seem to get 2 every week. I don’t need them anymore. I feel for you though as not getting any so far is pretty bad.
Yeah, and people who don’t want to participate in the logistical nightmare that is raiding don’t have to, and their progress in the content that THEY enjoy (which is still pve) can continue by getting tier.
Sorry you don’t feel special because you got funneled and everyone else has tier now too.
If that’s the only downside, i’ll take that over frustration from people who want to progress in their preferred content.
If there was any real downsides I would definitely be open to them, but “tier not feeling special” in reality isn’t how people feel. It’s more of a relief when it’s done for m+.
Just like I don’t buy the argument of frustration from players who specifically avoid doing anything at all to alleviate their frustration.
They made their choice, now they should live with the consequences of the choice they made.
If you’re going to whine about the consequences of your choice, you’re free to make different ones. noone is stopping you except yourself.
You wouldn’t understand it because that’s not what you participate in bro.
This is why I’m replying so much on here.
No one has given me a good argument against it other than “i don’t feel special week 3”
Literally not a single good response. You tried to go the route of “no one will raid” completely bogus, you said that people want to feel “rewarded” well guess what, people were just frustrated for 7 weeks because you wanted to feel rewarded for 7 weeks.
Blizzard designed it this way, so it is what it is. There’s no good argument against it. It’s just raiders being upset that tier can exist other places than raid. This isn’t wotlk.
I find it funny when threads are created about content being “time gated” when what they are complaining about is an additional free way to get something that never existed before.
However, people who do progression raiding DO have to participate in Mythic+ in order to gear for raiding.
Which is absurd.
I agree with this Brewa, I want both to be separate but anytime I mention the vacuum people have a heartattack.
Iron Curtain between the two.
It’s the only way to be sure…
strawman.
I have seen what happens in an MMO when gear is given out too freely. You think expectations of having tier now are too much? full deterministic tier too early in the season will make it way worse. I’ve seen a similar effect happen in another MMO.
Yeah, because being 15 ilvls behind the rest of your guild is somehow better than being the same ilvl, and missing some tier.
This would be appealing to a very small amount of high end pushers on both sides and catastrophically bad for the majority of players who like just killing dungeon and raid bosses for gear.
Got a different tier piece 4 weeks in a row. All set! Whats the issue again?
The only thing with this is you have to kill bosses to get loot. Many pugs can’t kill bosses. Many guilds can’t kill bosses, either. Many can, but still many cannot.
There’s also no reason for it to not have been out 2 weeks earlier, either. Instead of waiting 8 weeks after patch, 5-6 weeks after raid comes out, it should be out 4 weeks after raid opens up. You get 1 charge per week to use, so if they opened up 2 weeks ago with this you’d have had 3 built up by now.
It’s not self entitlement, not 100% as again, nobody’s asking for it to be out right away. They’re asking for it to be out earlier than it was released already.
Rather than 6-8 weeks, week 4 of the raid would have been a good time to do it, especially with mythic raid being out right from the start.
Exactly. On the forums, players only evaluate their proposed suggestions in a vacuum on how it would affect them. With how many different playstyles there are in this game, no change can exist in a vacuum.
Gear isn’t given out too freely if you get tier earlier. You still have to work to upgrade your tier. Just want the bonus bro. Week 3 or 4. It’s not giving us 415 tier. It’s giving us like 390 tier. At least we have bonus that changes our class. This isn’t really an ilvl thing, just a tier bonus thing.
Quite true. On the other side of the coin, you get rewarded with gear and infusions for failing to time keys.
They won’t help you unless you have a spark, which was also timegated to every other week as well.
You poor thing.
If you don’t do M+ for infusions, sparks are not your limiting factor for mythic ilvl crafted items.
Still really no negative to someone from m+ having tier if it was a low ilvl week 4.
Costs a month worth of valor to get it to 415 anyway.
No negative to raiders having unlimited infusions drop from bosses, either. But Blizzard stuck it at 1 per week to force people into doing M+.
