Has anyone heard a confirmed date and time on when Alpha is supposed to go live?

Has anyone gotten an alpha invite email yet?

Bnet client will let you know before the email hits if you get one since the license gets added to the “version” dropdown almost immediately.

In other news, it is bound to be later today perhaps. It aligns with blizzard’s past releases on anything.

See you all in SL folks… just remember with Alpha… NDA to the Nth degree. Do not post, screenshot or stream, or the very bad will come unto you. Good luck on your invites! :slight_smile:

There is no NDA. Players are free to post/stream anything and everything.

This person is right when it comes to Alpha there is no NDA. PreAlpha that are developers only yes but Alpha / beta no

This is actually going to be the first Alpha they have let in regular players since Lich King.

Blizzard is also adding long-term players to the invite list

Legion and BFA alphas both let in “regular” players about a month before hitting beta. Source: me, I got in both at that time.

There is no NDA in the alpha. Blizzard is generally transparent with development.

Seriously right now most alpha invites are for streamers to promote the product. Quite a few of use will partake in Beta. I am glad I don’t have to compete with streamers. I take my experience on Beta quite seriously and report as much as possible. I can imagine streamers stopping their video to tell their fans “Oh wait here I need to write in a detailed bug report” :rofl:

The only Beta, in which I was in the first wave for, was BfA. Never been in Beta Tests since before then, and surely have never been in an Alpha test ever before, and probably never will be. Of course, I’d love to be surprised.

I thought about doing that but then I remembered I don’t work QA for them.

That said, it’s good there are people not like me that actually submit bug reports.
Double that said, it’s also why I personally wouldn’t think giving me alpha invite is a good idea.

I’m with you man but I really don’t care about Alpha myself I just want to get into beta not Alpha.

I would prefer to get in during the late version of beta when the new character customizations are out.

My point is you wouldn’t want in right now to anyway there’s nothing really that test everything’s just broken beyond belief. It’s why I love beta and hate Alpha becausein betta you feel more like a tester in alpha you just fall through random holes in the world LOL
