Got around to doing +8 Delves for vault - my review

Managed to solo one of them, it was tedious but doable. Definitely had to tinker with the talents a bit and bring some consumables to get it done.

For the rest of them, I decided to do try do it in groups to see if it was quicker. It was, but it legit felt like watered down M+. There’s virtually no mechanics that are challenging, just felt like hitting training dummies for 15 minutes to finish it.

Cool concept but this stuff definitely needs some work.

the group difficulty could be nerfed a bit imo, i can +8 solo just about as well as I grouped a +6

Yeah and what class did you do it on?

Rogue, outlaw spec.

This was the intention from the get go. For solo to feel just as doable as grouped.

They kind of Fudged that at the start. We are getting closer though.

Rogue is not exactly a solo friendly class, at all. But I would imagine they’d be quite a doozy to solo for squishy ranged specs.

Agreed. If you like Rogue and want a solo Friendly class play a Feral.

No its not solo friendly, ill give you that but its still melee and you have arguably more CC than any class in game. So yeah, i believe it was more tedious than on a DK, Paladin or Warrior…but i just knew you werent gonna say Warlocks, Boomkin or Priest.

Warlocks, priests, and boomkin can take mobs out of a fight with CC, permanently.

Well warlock was gonna be my next to try a few on haha.

Gonna have to break out the trusty 'ole Voidwalker and see how this goes.

Priest though I truly have no idea how they’d get it done, my condolences to priests mains, they’re definitely getting shafted here.

Also, I will save you some trouble, don’t use the voidwalker. You will need the interrupt.

Druid: Entangling roots. That melee mob can now never touch you.
Warlock: Fear. That mob now does nothing as long as you keep it feared.
Priest: Dominate Mind. It is now yours.

Not counting CCs that have durations shorter than their CD like Shadowfury, Mortal Coil, Psychic Scream, Void Tendrils, or something annoying to upkeep like cyclone.

So those are single target and dont work on bosses. In a fight with 5 or 6 mobs, fear might be okay but now you cant aoe cause it will break on damage. Mind control does work, but its not permanent, it does have a 30 second limit so you have to stay on top of it. None of those are a permanent solution and as i said, only single target. Melee dont have to do ANY of that, except for rogue. My DK for instance, i dont have CC anything and i can do the delves in 1/4 the time it takes on my priest.

If you pulled more than three mobs as a DPS, you are pretty much sentencing yourself to death unless you are blowing CDs on it to kill things in less than ten seconds.

Every DPS spec can kill the bosses. CC makes it easier to deal with trash. A DPS acting like they are a tank and pulling an entire room and killing themselves is a player issue not a balancing one.

Not counting the Ambush which spawns three targets at a time, usually at most you would be getting one or two Target’s at a time. CC will let you keep one lockdown while you deal with the others and at that point if you’re struggling to deal with one target, that is a player problem.
