i finally want to main sub rogue since i got my new mouse. anyone got good keybinds for sub to use with it? i cant really come up with good ones. any help would be nice
I currently have mine set as follows
First, bind all keys to num pad 1-12 and then + - = or the remaining three keys after 0 on the full size keyboard. This lets you keep all your typical bars and keys undisturbed.
I then use mouse keys 1-3 for spenders I always want access to.
1 - damage spender (evis/envenom)
2 - alternate damage spender (rupture)
3 - upkeep spender (SnD)
I use the top row for defensives via alt
Alt 1 - cloak
Alt 2 - evasion
Alt 3 - Feint
Alt 4 - vanish
My second row is used for utility
4 - crimson vial
5 - Mark for death or other
6 - health stone
I use 4 and 6 for healing because they are easy to find on the mouse. I will similarly use the other “rails” or 7 and 9, 10 and 12 for niche buttons / specific things because it’s easy to find in a pinch with your thumb.
This is just an example to get you started. I keep all my mouse key bindings on the second set of lower action bars (1-6 and alt 1-6) because they have CDs/need monitoring and I don’t have mods. I use my niche/specific or situational ones on the side bars because they don’t need my attention as often. That frees up like 20 key-binds or whatever for the standard bar + the additional bar above it.

Best advice is dont follow what others do. Everyone has their own set up that they are comfortable with. My keybinds for the first few spells are `,R, Mouse Scroll button, shift 1-10 and shift scroll and than go into ctrl 1-10.

Why would you?
I have access to 48 keybinds using only my two thumbs.
Why not just use a regular mouse? Never saw the purpose of an MMO mouse.
Not direct key bind “put this here” that’s not a good way to do things, everyone has different fingers, and so on.
Rules.
Because you’re playing sub, you do not really want to be limited to the “Stealth bar” so what you need to do is make sure all your binds are universal, meaning you have abilities on your standard bar for all time, like sap, cheap shot, etc because this is the power of sub.
Make certain that you have your binds in places that make sense, that are easy to reach and don’t create ergonomic problems. dont be tied down to putting certain buttons into certain places only because that’s how its popular to do so.
To get use to keybinds, bind 1 or 2 abilities, practice them and as you adapt to them being effectively memorized, you then bind a few more abilities. you should do this in themes like here are your damage abilities, here are your tools, etc.
