I’ve been farming Savage Gladiator Chain on my human warrior for weeks now! I’ve done almost a 100 runs, seen gorosh 8 or 9 times now and I keep seeing the frikkin boots. This surely must be a bug because ive heard this happen to friends of mine, they also only got boots every time. wtf is
100 runs, that’s cute. Overall there’s about a 1% chance of getting Gorosh to spawn and also for him to drop the SGC.
took me over 200 runs on my orc to get sgc and I never saw the boots this many times
Gorosh’s spawn chance is weighted, so I’d say 1/10 chance to spawn.
If the drop chance is 1/20, 100 runs is really not that much.
I helped my warrior friend farm it awhile back, took us somewhere between 100 and 150 runs if I had to guess
RNG is RNG.
Have you never played this game or farmed anything before?
EDIT: got mine first kill and was level 55.So theres some “proof” it’s not bugged.

Took us 600 runs. The idea was to help my friend and he’d later return the favour. I haven’t hit him up and I think I may never will.

I am sitting on a little over 300 runs, and I have seen gorosh about 31 times now. No SGC. The grind must continue though, have put way too much time into it to quit now. Hope your luck is better than mine

Lol is that all? When I was gearing my rogue a warrior buddy and I did no kidding easily 200+ runs before we called it. I have done so many anger runs for a trinket and still nothing. I have solo’d anger so many times, it’s just depressing.
Oh well. It’s like a minor dps increase, as for that chain chest, did a pug a few weeks back, chest dropped, trinket dropped, and the damn mace dropped all in the same run and I was in my mage alt.
Pug warrior got everything.

I’ve already decided I’m not going to even bother with SGC. This warrior just hit 60 and I’m honestly not motivated enough to farm it. I’ll put the needed effort into my HoJ, then move on.
Gorosh’s spawn rate is definitely set to be more rare than the other bosses. So that isn’t a fluke that you’re seeing him around 1/10th of the time, not 1/6th.
I ran arena around 250-300 times before I finally got it to drop. I saw Gorosh only around 25 times. Thankfully it’s easy to duo with a healer, so just get a buddy committed to the grind.
Or grab the ZG epic chest and wait for the AQ first boss to drop Breastplate of Annihilation.
This is the sort of thinking that leads to being mad at premades.
i think ive seen it twice and i dont think I’ve done it 100 times
it may help to know that you can solo gorosh without dflask(or terrain abuse) if you have some good avoidance gear and stack block value(and have imp. shield block), although if you get any boss other than him or grizzle, you’re just gonna die, perhaps even with a dflask healing set
that said, if you’re not willing to do that, then feel free to run with a deep-prot warrior instead of a healer if finding a healer is too hard, but understand that the other warrior may also want SGC
For those warriors who don’t want to do this grind, or are sick of it or are sick of bugging people to help you with it, in Phase 5 you will be able to upgrade the Valor chest to the Breastplate of Heroism, which is a pretty comparable alternative, IMO, especially if you are using it as a threat piece for tanking because it has a lot more armor and stamina than SGC. You do need the full 8/8 dungeon set to do the (very fun!) questline, though…

Took a guildie ~700 runs for SGC, i got both sgc/hoj ~70 runs on an alt. I’ve ran mara princess 1011 times and have yet to see 1 blade of eternal darkness. RNG sucks sometimes for sure
A friend of mine is over 400 arena kills and has never seen the SGC drop. The boots have a high drop chance, the chest armor does not. Simple as that.
I did over 150 runs for my Ban’thok Sash, which has a HIGHER chance to drop than SGC. The following week I won Sash of Whispered Secrets ;x RNG baby
At one point, my druid partner was carrying like 6 Ban’thok Sashes as a joke. We saw so many of those it was crazy, and then every time I was in a group with a mage or lock, that person would talk about how they could never see it or had run several dozen runs and not gotten it. Felt like we got one every 10-15 runs.
