I’m still playing retail. As you can see, I’ve now Mooo’d to Thrall-Horde, but Old Guard still exists on Gorgonnash as a shadow-guild with many OG members (see what I did there?) Yeah, the Sheridon-Jokes are alive and real folks…
I haven’t sold myself on returning to Classic yet, but I did reserve my name on Herod-Horde (yeah, really). A few of us who are still together from the vanilla days have decided to faction-change, but who knows, right?
Anyway, I recognize a great deal of names here. What a trip down memory lane. Fond memories, even those who came/went, and later named guilds after me. (Yes, tBC had the guild-tag “Sheridon’s School of DI” (a dig at me, referring to my infamous screw-up in BWL on Vael.) Truth is, even my haters made some of my fondest memories.
Sadly (not to throw a wet-blanket) one thing that will likely be missing from Classic is most of our Aussie/Kiwi friends. We had a whole “side” of the guild who raided Aussie-times (OG was originally an Oceanic guild). Much of Gorgonnash had a large population from “Down-Unda.” I’d imagine most of them who decide to return to classic will probably be rolling toons on the Oceanic servers (understandably), but to really get into the look/feel of Classic, I’d have to have my Aussie/Kiwi gang back too.
I’ll likely keep running on retail and dabble in Classic, but if you remember me and want to catch-up, add my battle-tag: Sheridon#1171

We had a bounty on a couple of those names. One even titled himself “Slayer of Apedog” in his public note when he found him afk one day and killed him…lol
