My fire mage does better than my frost spec, though I do have mostly mastery gear and triple wildfire traits. Frost is still good, but the snare nerf was total overkill.
Yeah man of course lol. I just wanted to point out that slight irony my dude.
Heh. At my best I can pull around 17-18k, if I don’t have to move too much.
In some of these raids, I’m having to move so much because Billy Bob Number 5 has deemed where I’m standing an appropriate place to drop the boss bomb that was placed on him. Or the person about to get beamed has deemed that I am a suitable back-target for it, despite me being at the peak of my rotation.
Ion wont read this, they dont care, you wasted your time and effort.
If Ion could read at all, we’d probably have a better expansion in general - see all the beta complaints and bug reports. Also, Heelvsbabyface’s video where we still have a floating tree, despite that being reported a few times.
I like earning my things, I don’t like buying them as well.
I’ve not done anything in this tier outside of LFR, because I have no incentive to do otherwise, but this doesn’t undo the point I was making. You have two mechanics, balls and roots.
It’s still raid coordination. The bare bones of raiding has never changed, it’s the one constant that WoW has had.
You’re allowed to not like G’huun, or especially raiding in this expansion - I agree with you that raiding has lost its fun for me over the years, but not for what I think are reasons that are missing the greater point of Blizzard making fights so simple anyone can do them if they can breathe.
If you look at the changes that happened in raiding, they fell off in difficulty when Mythic raids were introduced along with removing fixed sizes for raids outside of Mythic difficulty.
Back when LFR was introduced, it still had full mechanics for most fights that just hit for a little less, then, by the time that SoO comes around, LFR is baby’s first raid, normal is what was previously LFR difficulty, and heroic turned into normal raiding in terms of challenge.
Turning Heroic raiding into a puggable thing where you can drop people and get new people as needed without any repercussions to your raid stability, and Blizzard catering to that mentality with the built-in LFR tab, you get this global community of raiding that expects you to have the AotC achievements before they accept you into the normal runs because they want to get in and out without any hiccups along the way.
Raiding hasn’t changed because mechanics are RNG - they always were - and it hasn’t changed because they can one-shot you if you do them wrong - they always have.
Raiding is unfun now because it’s inclusive and simple enough to have a random group of people from multiple servers come together for a few hours and full clear it, and the only reason Mythic isn’t included in that lump is because Blizz hasn’t decided to let people cross-server pug them from the start.
Oh he could, but he’d rather keep his job by inflating MAU/DAU than make you happy.
His WOW classic presentation proved that he know what’s good for the game and what isn’t.
Different devs, past dev build wow with passion, current dev use wow to stay employed.
I’d say I have more than a nickel as to why I’ve had enough.
Also, Aswin:
His classic WoW presentation and it being revealed they plan to shard us in it shows more that they’re willing to lie to our faces in discussing our ‘authentic’ vanilla experience.
Did you really just ask how quaking affects melee dps??? Unlike you ranged players that can spread out ahead of time melee is all clumped together and usually have to run out to avoid being globalled by the damage
As a warrior main all I can really do is chuckle at 100% uptime. Doesn’t even warrant a rebuttal. Add in all the cone, cleave, aoe mechanics in PvE (see ghuun, taloc, mythrax, mother) and this basically reads as gibberish to me. I mean taloc alone has three mechanics (3!) that affect melee to a greater degree than ranged.
Mythrax’s beam in phase two is an instant wipe mechanic omfg I’ve read it all now
The circles just can’t be on the person in them. It’s a quick shift to opposite sides and still around the hit-box.
The circles can overlap, but they can’t be on the person. Hit-boxes are nice and big - you should try it. Oh… wait. That’s more awareness… almost as much as healers having to freak out and watch the tank die for fear of being silenced longer so he dies while silenced. Or casters getting interrupted randomly mid-blow up during a burn phase… or having to burn something at all.
And, yes, yes, it is. If you’ve not witnessed Billy Bob Number 5 wipe the raid via it by stacking more stacks of oblivion than we have green orbs, then I don’t know what to tell you. An OOM healer is still an OOM healer.
Sounds like you just had a raid full of actual trash healers. Mythrax is one of the easiest bosses in uldir. Tell me how range has such a rough time dealing with sanguine and skittish since you think melee is so easy.
Ranged aren’t ever going to be fun because Blizzard keeps removing our mobility. Try going out and doing world quests as a Shadow Priest / Ele sham, and then try again as a Windwalker monk.
I can dash around, gather up several mobs and AoE bomb them down in 5 seconds. My Shaman/Priest have to run around slowly with no mobility to gather mobs, then cast/channel weak nukes for 10 seconds (while the mobs are beating on them), to finally cast their average AoE dumps which have cast/channel times.
/SIGH. Who in the world thinks that this is fun? I thought the whole point of cast times was for hard hitting nukes that reward you for getting them off? Instead, our hard hitting nukes are instants locked behind 15 seconds of resource building. Seriously, what gives?
Nobody cares that you don’t care. I know it’s hard to do but if you used your brain you would see that the feedback given is directed at Blizzard, not you or I.
Oh wait, I forgot I was talking to a DH who always has something they’re able to do.
It’s simple to wipe it. Move before the call out, he shifts, and when the leader calls move when someone has, it’s auto-turned onto the raid where they plan to move. Billy Bob Number 5 who doesn’t stop when they hear ‘stop’ will end up dead as well. Congrats, several DPS are dead and we’re not beating the timer.
Our healers are fantastic to keep people like that alive as long as they do. DHs have a lot of self-heal, self-sustain, damage reduction, etc.
You can literally watch the boss yourself and see where he is turning. Stop being a bad player and relying on call outs.
Thank you— my one bone to pick with the op was my lawl over this item. Run Tol Dagor and come back and tell me quaking is easy street for melee. As someone who has seen both sides of the melee/ranged coin, I have never understood the qq here when it comes to pve. I think those ranged class with limited mobility options (ele shaman, destro) might have a gripe. But mages? C’mon guys— seriously?!
So you don’t care about the opinions of others if they disagree with you. And the game is much better when everyone agrees with you.
Also, anyone who disagrees with you is just part of some mindless mob…even when they carefully explain the reasoning behind their opinion.
Oh, and you deliberately go read posts you know you will disagree with so that you can denigrate and insult anyone who dares disagree with you.
But the game is much better with only players like you in it. Huh. That’s a very interesting opinion.
Case and point. You’re the type of player that gets people wiped in that fight. I’d be mad, but, heck, you’ve proved my point.
When there’s a rule of, “Go when you’re told to,” you’re going to take that initiative and get us hit as soon as DBM gives a warning it’s about to go and get our stack-point nuked.
