Once the Mage Tower is gone the community can go back to “semi-normal” for another 5-6 months. I’ve never seen this much outrage over something since the no flying issues. Honestly I think the Tower was quite bad for the community. Just my opinion.
I wouldn’t be opposed to it not returning.
Was what it was. In trying times artificial layers get stripped away, naked stands the true character behind the…ummm character.

Although I could not get any of the mage towers, heck I couldn’t even get close, I congratulate the ones who were able to do it, especially those who got it on all 36 specs!!
I think I had more fun these past few weeks than I have for the entirety of Shadowlands. It was also fun just hanging out outside the tower and talking strategy with folks. Probably the most positive community interaction I’ve seen in a while.
Guess it just depends on the attitude you decide to take. GD feeds on outrage and isn’t representative of the community as a whole, thankfully.
Even though I struggled greatly getting mine I still feel like it was the worst content to be put back in game. It really wasn’t healthy for this game at all.
This was the most fun I had in a game in a very, very long time…
It got to the point where I forgot Shadowlands was even a thing. I was doing old raids, farming old mats, dusting off alts I haven’t played in years, using enchants I farmed all the way in BC to use again. This is the most ‘timewalking’ experience ever and I’m not sure Blizz even intended it to be.

I loathed BFA, and the content drought and bad systems of SL have kept my sub out of Blizzard’s hands for some time. They definitely got me back for MT though and I loved it. If they kept time walking up permanently, I’d spend way more time with the game.
The community has never been normal, semi or otherwise. That’s what makes this so much fun.

Why? Thought it was great, everyone in my guild thought it was great. It’s only the few on the general discussions that are complaining. I did bear, holy, sin, sub and fire, only been playing 1-2 hrs a day tops.
It was a great addition. Why was it bad? Because not everyone completed it?

It comes back during legion timewalking which is scheduled for March.
It’s only like 10 people on the forums raging. Most people where in game, gaming it out. The zone was more popping than it was back in the day. It’ll be a little sad for drop off after it’s gone, but they’ll be back.
What does that even mean?
Does back to normal mean being bored because they made most of their content irrelevant and the worth while stuff has been on farm for 4 to 5 months?
