Good way for alliance vengeance

Alright so after watching videos of lore online and doing research about the whole teldrassil incident, I thought to myself hey if the horde is going to commit to barbaric acts “in the name of war” why don’t we as the alliance get to do that?
Why don’t we have Jaina try and cause another tsunami that can flood Orgimar, or create our own Azerite infused mana bomb to drop on one of their capitals?
Because if we look at it we never actually got revenge for teldrassil we never raised any capital to the ground; that was sylvanas’s work both times.

(Fyi this is coming from an IC perspective as a death knight)

if that’ll make you happy, sure

I’m thinking the Alliance already got its revenge in BoD raid…killing a king that had nothing to do with the mass genocide…I wonder why people hate the story telling lately lul

Alliance never gets fleshed out like that.

Even Old Republic showed how the Republic has a darker side to it.

I mean you’re not wrong, but I guess when it comes to blizz and the alliance well… the alliance values won’t let them fight dirty. They could have gone all the way with the night elves and let them really get mean with the horde, but it seems like that opportunity passed us by as soon as the cinematic for darkshore was over and sira/delaryn were raised. Once again the moment of glory kind of went right back to the horde. Also, it flip flops back and forth repeatedly so there’s currently no victor.

Then again, some horde players claim that BfD is really atrocious and horrific on the alliance’s part. It is supposed to be the alliance’s true revenge for teldrassil, but honestly it didn’t really make me feel that way even doing it from the horde perspective for the tail end.

There’s a difference between attacking a city with no defenses out of the blue and attacking the enemy’s hub and trying to disable their source of power (in this case the zandalari naval fleet)*.

*some will disagree for various reasons like the zandalari technically hadn’t sided with the horde before BfD and things like that, but as a player in the game I’m looking at boralus and dazaralor and each one has belonged to one side respectively since the start. That’s where all of the trainers are, the mission table, where horde had their base of operation. The zandalari hadn’t signed the contract, but they had already teamed up and welcomed the horde.

For the record, this is purely my analysis and opinion.

yes, yes killing a king is good and all but why couldn’t we raise their city to the ground? Why could dks not be given the option to massacre civillians and raise them as mindless ghouls as an F U to the horde for doing the same to Darnassus? It just seems like a muted response. I wish for betters, times of when I could just massacre civilians trying to escape to the safety of the scarlet crusades walls… Errr I mean trolls trying to escape to the safety of their pyramid?

Cause the good guys would never do such things

OH yeah rogue? you and what army, I could see you 1v1ing the tavern keeper but then hide in the shadows the moment armed resistance comes. The horde can’t do nothing to us without luring all our forces away!

Because that’s literally what makes the alliance, the alliance? NOT being barbaric and pretending to be “better than them”

We lost stuff before this expansion. A lot of stuff. People. You lost a tree and a King so why do we need to keep losing things?

I… am not 100% sure about this, but I kinda wanna see the night elves maybe not be the “good guys” anymore. I don’t know what that would entail exactly, but watching malfurion go a little nuts on those soldiers felt right.

What did you even lose in the first place?
and you forgot to mention the hundreds maybe thousands of npcs that cant be rendered that were killed by the burning of the tree

We are the villains . We don’t fight fair.

For the Horde #wedontfightfair #winningiseverything

I know.

Stares at hands
Puffed pastries, or Croissants?

These morally grey choices are doing terrible things to my Gnomish Cookie diet.

Next I’ll have to decide on whether or not to bring cotton candy for the Orc Orphans in Ogrimmar during the next siege, or lollipops.

Such terrible, terrible things.

The Alliance drew out most of the army and us, Champions of the Horde, out of the pyramid when the Alliance attacked.

Talajani said the king was still there with only a hand full of guards to protect him. So, you guys did attack a practically unarmed city.

I mean I haven’t played horde side so I guess that’s what’s missing? Cause it went from cinematic with blowing up the ships to sailing to the docks right to the first trash mobs and boss. There was nothing about luring the horde away from what I saw. Even the campaign all that was noteworthy was helping Grong and setting up the bombs that were used in the cinematic.

So… what are the bits on the horde side that show the horde and armed forces being led away from the city?

oh yeah? Well you can have the city, after org is destroyed we’ll turn the freshly raised soilders of the horde onto the rest of the horde strongholds in Kalimdor before moving back into the eastern kingdoms to finish the job.
Gl destroying Ironforge, you’re crummy horde tried and failed last time it will be no different this time.
