Good Warlocks?

I am curious. We’ve seen good people of each class, with the exception of Warlock and maybe Shadow Priests.

Is there a Warlock in Lore that’s good? The only time we saw them in more action was in Legion, and that was everyone against them, good or not so good.

I think so. The only one that comes to mind because I saw him yesterday, is a Warlock that helps you on your Mage Class Hall to acquire Ebonchill.

But I rarely play that class (warlock) to know enough…

There’s a goblin warlock trainer in the lost isles that’s, well, not as bad as Gallywix.

Ohh damn.

I think there should be with the same mentality that the DH has. Even though pursuing Fel enough means being power hungry and making sacrifices?

I wonder then… If a Warlock drains your soul, they prevent you from going to the Shadowlands?

Mortis.

I know he’s not in the lore or anything, but still. Mortis.

You’re using their soul as fuel so I think technically that means it wouldn’t because it’s being used up

Council of The Black Harvest.

They don’t actively seek to destroy Azeroth, they simply believe their powers are the best powers to be used. And the council was formed purely on the basis that Warlocks such as them need a group to share knowledge and power.

Kanrethad was the leader of this council until he fell victim to demonic consumption, in which The Warlock Player saves his soul. (Mist of Pandaria Green Fire.)

Later the Warlock player goes on to replace Kanrethad as leader of the council, rallying The Warlocks of Azeroth against The Legion.

In fact Warlocks hurt The Legion more than any other order hall. Gul’dan was going to use The Scepter of Sargeras to open portals to all Legion worlds, bringing the full might to The Broken Shore, but Warlocks stop that and take the scepter.

Good as in benevolent. Not good as in Skilled. lol

I remember there is a Warlock teamed up with a Demonhunter in Azsuna, but then again that is also in Legion.

Really?

I always thought they took part of it but the damaged soul regenerated like a normal injury. I mean…otherwise, Warlocks would be just one shotting people.

I could be wrong, though.

I see ‘good’ Warlocks as the type of person who sees the necessity in being a force of chaotic good (so still disregarding laws/regulations). Having to do things others do not like because they can’t stomach it, or having to play devil’s advocate sometimes. Kinda like what Illidan became. I know he isn’t really a warlock, but Demon Hunters stole from Demo anyway so

Not to overgeneralize, but I think most warlocks generally start out with good intentions, but then things go astray from time to time.

Council of the Black harvest is basically a “wow player” represented in the lore. they as individuals canonically participated in most major raid boss defeats in wow’s historically.

And Gul’dan. Archimond. Kil’jaden. all Warlocks.

I am guessing a Warlock at best could be chaotic good. Probably why they stick the fringes of society and dark corners of cities.

I looked at it your way until the pre Legion audio things thousand year war and after the demon says that he will wear their souls as barbels around his neck it makes it seem like it’s their whole soul and Essence inside of the soul Rock thing forever trapped and never going to the shadowlands unless he destroys them by using it as a battery
