Ive NEVER played shammy a day in my life? how’re they for a solo player?
plan to push keys, pvp, heroic raid and maybe a little mythic raiding!
was just curious how reliable shammys are long term?
In pve both ele and enhance are in a good spot.
In pvp enhance isnt that great but can work ele is great.
Open world and delves i go enhance. Those instant heals make it easier and we have great cleave.

Really good for solo. You get a free tank every 5 minutes … ghost wolf is nice for escaping stuff.
Fun fluff like farsight lets you check out a place without going there first.
Extra hearthstone.
Good self heals. (Probably the best)
Multiple specs for group content.
Heroism / bloodlust to use in solo if you need a big boost.
Water walking. ( nice for fishing )

Solo? If you mean delve’s and PvP content not great.
If you mean playing without a set group all 3 shaman specs are desirable in keys and raiding.

U can play any class on ur own, compared to other classes shaman is very usefull in pve environment so u gonna always be called for groups unless its in the bottom of the charts.
Buffs and nerfs come and go so in the long term any spec gonna be good, at least for a time.

One of the best self healers, lots of group utility but that utility can be used for yourself.
Been primarily a solo enjoyer since Vanilla and hybrids are definitely my favourite to play solo. Shaman being my favourite and main since.

I dont think I agree with the delves part, I clear t8s on my ele easier than I do any of my other classes. Self heals are great, tank pet basically lets you stand there and free cast on delve bosses and you have BL.
Gave u tried enhance? Im playiny ele in pvp mostly but if its better in delves id try it

I dont really play melee specs, mainly cause I suck at them haha so nah I haven’t.

I just recently got this character to 80. Playing an enhance shaman for the first time ever and have pretty much gone this entire time solo and haven’t had a single issue so far.
I love my shaman for solo. I had originally planned on maining resto in BG matches (my fav wow content) , but randomly fell in love with tempest enhancement gameplay. I know a lot of people say it sucks, but I feel like I can be impactful and do pretty well in matches.
For solo PvE stuff like delves, enhancement has been my fav of the three specs again, for reasons listed above.
They’re kinda middling. Ele can kinda struggle w/ CC immune mobs if they don’t have their Earth Elemental up. But anything that can be CCed or slowed is a cakewalk.
