Wowinterface has a bit better selection because they added support for listing classic addons early in beta, took curse a bit longer so some haven’t moved yet
That website is uncurated and has a lot of dead links and bad info. Not managed by the addon authors, OP asked for a safe place
EDIT: Just checked it out again, it’s a bit better than it was before, but if you can find the addon you need on curse or wowinterface that’s the better option. Don’t mean to throw shade on it, but it had some problems during beta
I am not sure where you are seeing this, but this doesn’t appear to be the case for me at all. It shows me addons available but they are all for BFA. How do you change it to view for Classic?
For Curse, will we have to manually manage Classic addons? I feel spoiled having used Twitch the past year. I refused to use an addon manager since some issues with the Curse manager back in Wrath came to light and only did it manually. Now that I started using Twitch I’d hate to go back to manual management.
Will It Classic is a community-driven repository that points to ALL addon and sources they may be at (i.e Curse/Twitch, Wowinterface, Authors website, Git Repository). It is not a distribution platform. Simply a way to check if an addon has been updated and the links to it on all the sites available. This gives the end-user more options than one site alone.
It is also VERY addon author supportive. Several mod authors have asked and given control of their listings
Thanks for your input Droodguy. No shade is taken.
Yeah, I think I let my personal bias slip in a bit when it comes to willitclassic, there was a lot of drama in the past with websites re-listing addons (and then not updating them) and that can cause so many headaches during development
Willitclassic seems like a much better way of doing things than those sites though, I wish them the best
