Great work bringing some level of balance to PVP. Spriest changes were good (though their dots are still disgusting), Boomies are in a better place now after getting nerfed into the ground, melee hunters are no longer one shotting … all good changes.
That said, it’s time to look at Shaman. IMO its ok for Enhance to hit like a truck and I do not have an issue with Ele dmg personally. The big problem is the Way of Earth rune making them borderline unkillable. Shaman HP pool is way too high in BGs and STV (60% increased HP with rune) and they take no damage. PVE tanking runes like this should simply not stack with other effects (such as BG/STV HP buff). Making this change would make the rune viable in PVE but would help with how OP Shaman survivability is in PVP.

Shamans die all the time.
They’re just not farmed for Honor like Rogues and Warriors.
Damage is still wayyyyy too high in BGs, and Shamans stand out because they’re the only melee that lasts long to actually cave clothie faces in. That being why they’re the first melee (and only thus far) to be targetted by forum rage.

Sure, but I am saying it takes way too long comparatively to other classes. 60% HP increase + 10% flat dmg reduction and 6% crit protection is just too much in PVP.

Even with my WotE Shaman at “Full” 2900 health in BGs, an SPriest’s Instant casts by themselves will cut it down to less than 1000. Warriors and rogues with their 2300-2500 health just get melted outright.
That’s why the Shaman is the tallest blade of grass… they’re the only ones SURVIVING the stupid amounts of damage.

As an actual shaman player, you’ve got it twisted. Double rockbiter damage is completely out of line, WoE is totally fine for a class with no CC or defensives.

Only adjustment I had for it.
Twin rockbiter is disgusting, but so is most of the rest of the damage.

Immediate nerfs to shaman and spriest

Yeah there are some other outliers, but I think we can both admit that 1200 AP self buffed at 40 is absurd.

It’s a video game. Relax and have fun. The e-sport version is called Retail. Stop trying to turn Classic into that. I want to actually have fun and see powerful, impactful, meaty abilities.

I agree, nothing wrong with enh being a top tier PvP spec at all, but other players should stand a chance at fighting back, which currently they do not.

“In the ground” is not a great place to be.

Yeah, I think RB could be limited to one hand at a time and it would help considerably, as part of adjusting all the damage down.
Shamans having only one ability and one proc that increases melee damage means that AP doesn’t scale nearly as well for them as it does for the other melee classes. Shamans are only competing in damage because they have generally higher AP than other melees can achieve.
Agreed, my proposed fix for this would be limiting one type of imbue at a time, and letting WoE function regardless of equipped imbue. Enh absolutely needs WoE to function in PvP, so they need to decouple it from Rockbiter.
Just to make sure I understand:
As in, on imbue per shaman regardless of weapon?
I mean no doubling up on imbues, no double rb, no double ft, etc etc.

I love it.
Let’s me run RB/WF or WF/RB. (FT is just never going to keep up IMO…lol…unless they wanna give it Spellpower… Eh Blizz?)

I’m levelling a Shaman now so nope. If Blizzard needs a bone to chew on, nerf hunters some more.

What a weird statement. No one said we’re not having fun. This season has been iterative and it is completely normal to ask for changes to outliers.

It’s the mindset. I saw what this obsession with ‘balance’ did to the game the first time.
If the devs want to make adjustments, fine. But I’ll never understand players coming to the forums to complain about balance. It’s just a game. Get over it. And 1v1 is an irrelevant factor.
Vanilla pvp was a rather chaotic mess. I miss that. That’s been gutted from the game over the years. Retail combat is so utterly boring and dull. Because that’s what happens when you obsess over numbers and treat the game as an e-sport. Can we just relax and have fun? Why is that so hard for people?
If we ever get a true classic + the weapon imbues need a total rework.
