Thanks to the changes coming in Midnight to transmog, there will be a lot less players rolling need on items you felt you deserved more!
The bad news is…well, we’ll let you figure that out.

i love lfr
i cant wait to smash through it on legacy loot mode
suppose ill wait 2 yrs after midnight
I got the popcorn.
I somehow doubt people who run LFR will be upset that they have to wait longer in exchange for people rolling on items they don’t actually need.
You could’ve stopped here and been more correct.
Ah… yeah, I should’ve read further. hehe
Spoiler alert, Sendryn!
There will be some bias to which players will be “missing”, so the outcome may not be what people hoped for.
Not just waiting longer. They discover just how determined they will be.
Unless collecting the off-pieces or weapons in higher difficulties also award the appearances in lower difficulties (the post only mentioned tier appearances) you can be assured that my Mythic geared toons will be in LFR needing on your loot.
Are ya’ll really that hurt about appearances? Socialize, do mythic raids with people if it bothers you…problem solved.
I don’t generally do LFR anymore, though I did do it last season because of the cartel coins. Because of the cartel coin change, as well as this transmog change, I’ll never have to touch LFR ever again and that’s probably the best part of Midnight announced so far lol.
Are you misunderstanding the subject of this thread and mistaking it for another?
Higher track items unlocking lower track appearances is a good change–hopefully it evolves to include all items not just tier, and goes piece by piece instead of requiring the full set.
Not being able to upgrade for the next appearance unlock is a bummer though.
I’m so lazy that I don’t even do LFR so I didn’t know I could get mythic appearances.
I think this is fine. Mythic looks should come from mythic raids or similar. We’ll get it eventually when we blast through it as legacy content.
Not from LFR, but currently if you upgrade hero track to 5/6 it unlocks the mythic appearance, and you could get hero track in the vault from delves and m+. Last season we could also get them from 4-5 mask horrific visions which I discovered late but got most of the DK mythic set that way.
The LFR implication is that raiders in Midnight who get a full set of a higher tier won’t need to farm LFR for the lower ilvl recolor since it’ll be unlocked automatically. And the OP is implying that LFR will suffer from either slower queues or fewer high-geared folks who know the fights better helping to carry the run.
they can’t
the thing OP is hinting about is now there will be 0 reason for more advanced players to run LFR. LFR is about to lose a big chunk of players who did a lot of very heavy lifting.
Ah, so the LFR Dimensius nerfs were just the beginning lol.
probably lol
I’m not sure it’s a bad thing either, LFR should be able to stand on it’s own, not be propped up by heroic/mythic geared players farming transmog.
we’ll see how it all shakes out I guess.
I agree, it should be cleared by the audience it was meant for.
Ohhh
ROFL rip
