Good luck trying to buy wow tokens right now

Only if they don’t lose customers over all of it.

so do you like not understand basic business economics?

We had it good for a bit too long, I guess.

Yes, you can.
Turn into balance > Buy tokens with balance

with the fact this is gonna go up to 500-600k gold, there are absolutely bots buying it up atm

LoL. Just makes me laugh sometimes.

The price of tokens has gone wildly up and down many, many, many times over the years since it was introduced. Hell, I remember when it started and they cost 40k on the AH. And they have gone up to extremely high prices at times of high demand - like now.

Nobody is going to quit playing the game because the token is so pricey. I mean sure, I’d like to go back to the good old days when I had 6 months sub credit from my extremely cheap token purchases. But it aint gonna happen.

But, as some or many have said, times change. Go with the flow. Adapt or perish. All those apt sayings apply.

they are SOULBOUND. so no you cant hold onto them and resell them after buying them for gold.

BUY TOKEN
convert to balance
Use battle net balance to buy a NEW token
resold token. It’s not rocket science. You have to spend 5 more dollars but its worth doing when the token sky rockets in gold like this

They are confident that players with millions of gold to burn aren’t going to up and quit. I’d bet they are correct. Anyway the price will come down next month AND tokens will be available.

Well sure you could make a profit if the token price goes up a lot.

  • (Token at 200k gold)
  • Buy 4 tokens with 800k gold
  • Convert to $60
  • (Token price goes up to 300k gold)
  • Buy 3 tokens with $60, giving you 900k gold

Or you do the reverse if you know token price will drop a lot.

so your wasting 5$ dollars to buy ANOTHER TOKEN FOR MORE GOLD TO BUY ANOTHER TOKEN FOR 20$ for more gold OVER AND OVER.

I understand exactly why they would want to not touch this at all. This is pure mint for them. I get that.

I also get that releasing a special anniversary mount at an absurd price point that means most people would buy it with wow gold but literally can’t buy tokens right now produces layers upon layers for customers to get pissed off.

There is an equation to consider where at some point the potential loss of business overrides the financial gains expected from the artificial valuation they’ve built into their systems.

But like, arguing it HAS TO work the way it does (it doesn’t), which is what you and others have done, is not the same as arguing that the financial incentive of Blizzard is to do nothing (which, of course). The points I have been making is it doesn’t have to work this way. It’s all artificial. It’s all by choice. And there’s no reason we have to endorse it or argue in its defense.

You’re not gonna accept you’re wrong, so i give up on you. You’ll never take advantage of this anyway

no you appear not to understand anything. because you cant seem to comprehend how ah tokens actually work. you are utterly convinced of your own fantasy where blizzard just prints tokens for ingame gold and SOMEHOW THAT TRANSLATES TO PROFIT…OH WAIT IN GAME GOLD ISNT MONEY.
blizzard isnt going to give you 15$ for free.

Yeah, sadly they’re probably right.

Happy 20th anniversary everyone.

If the price drops >25% later then yes it’s profitable to speculate.

I don’t think they’re suggesting to buy and then immediately sell, because that would be extremely dumb.

I’m watching out for this. I usually drop a ton of money to buy tokens when they’re at or over 400k to stock up for an expansion so I don’t have to spend any time farming gold.

This balance could then be applied to your BNet account right? So if they buy cheap, cash them out, add the balance, and then use the balance to buy the 1 year sub they ultimately get a better deal for the token value since the mounts come with it. Huh… it’s like a Scooby Doo Mystery to follow the digital money trail.

That’s a guess, not a fact.

I mean, if you’re not going to bother trying to understand the distinction I’m making and keep acting like the artificial rules they put in place for how digital things work, then, like, cool I guess.
