Good luck on getting the HH mount

Good to see that people have a better chance at it now.

The only difference I see is it takes about 10 times as long to kill him now compared to in the past. People arent there for another long drawn out fight, it’s annoying tbh.

The best way to beat those crappy 1% odds is brute force and with the fight being so tediously long they essentially just made this harder and way longer to farm.

RIP to anyone still needing the mount :frowning:

It’s about time there was at least some challenge to the fight.

Why though? A 1% drop for only 2 weeks of the year means the best chance people have is to run as many toons through per day as possible or luck out on the first kill of the day.

The challenge IS the frustratingly low drop rate.

I’m not even arguing for myself here, i got the mount years ago, but the stupidly long drawn out boring fight doesn’t do it any favors. There is no challenge its just longer for the sake of being longer. Where someone could have run 5 toons through in the same time they can now only get 1 through…

I do get what you’re saying. Low drop rates are discouraging. Conversely, there are so many options out there that are not having one type of mount. Isn’t the end of the world.

I guess I don’t care much either way. Whatever blizzard does they do

Is it wrong that I got this a couple years ago and can calmly sit back and watch as other people talking about the grind I never have to do again?

It’s not bad at all. Stay out of the bad is all it is…

I think a good idea would have been that if you do the hardmode fight, it increases the chance of you getting the mount. Harder you do, higher the percentage chance is.

And change the damned reward, that would be nice too. Different creepy event mount, drawn from the Horseman’s stable of creepy mounts. Rotate 'em year around so the FOMO thing is less painful.

People want everything to be right here right now, no effort, no waiting. The low drop rate is part of the reward. This mount and HH are like a WoW lottery. If you start convincing yourself you deserve to win, it’s only going to upset you when you don’t, and make it seem less special if and when you do win.

Also gives you an incentive to keep playing every year to get them all.

No one said it was bad or hard lol.

I said it just takes way longer to kill him, people just can’t read or have selective reading skills xD

I totally agree with this, leave the fight fast and wham bam thank you mam for the base fight so people can run lots of toons through if that is their strategy or have 1 or a few toons run through on the harder versions but with much higher % drops.

Problem with the drop rate is that we are talking about a yearly event. Its not like doing a raid for a mount where, if you don’t get it this time, you can come back next week. Or taking a ticket for a lottery that only happens once a year. I can put up with not winning something on a weekly ticket, damned if I find low drop rates fun in the once-a-year situation, personally.

No it’s not, I HAVE the HH mount so this isn’t for me.

Hard work IS running over 50 toons through a holiday dungeon every day for 14 days straight year after year and not getting a reward (love rocket, I have well over 4000 attempts of that and nothing to show for it.)

If blizzard go and make the fight longer NOT HARDER just for the sake of it this literally blows that time and effort way up for no good reason. The odds havent increased but now the time taken to do it has (and running that many through every day basically means no lifing it).

I’d like it if your chance doubled every year you played. It would be 0.1% the first year and guaranteed by the tenth.

Got it on my 7th run after trying for years. Still haven’t gotten the pet, and I’ve ran like 20+ characters for the day.

I don’t believe i replied or even acknowledged anything in your post. So maybe it is you having reading issues?

That’s not hard work, that’s bad math. People run insane numbers of alts through without realizing that even at that rate, the increased chances are still statistically insignificant. To use the lottery analogy again, buying three hundred tickets makes it more likely that you will win, but your chances are still extremely slim. Don’t invest so much in something that’s statistically proven to not give you a return.

Certainly don’t get upset if you or others don’t win. You aren’t supposed to.

Bad luck on getting the horsemanmount

Hehehehhhh

I got the mount a few years back on my first try. I consider myself very lucky

That would disadvantage someone who missed out on the event one (or more) year due to things beyond their control. Just let players earn something they can work towards in one year, let them buy it by the end and then offer another creepy mount the next year, and another the year after and do what the TP is apparently doing - swap them around so you have the chance at something if you miss out one time.

Being able to earn it is more satisfying than putting in the same amount of work and still not getting anything.

No it IS hard work, and it isn’t bad math its bad game design but clearly blizzard aren’t willing to budge on it, so for anyone who wants the mount it’s the best they have to work with.

Slim chance or not is irrelevant, what is relevant is; is running as many toons through as possible the highest odds of getting the mount? and the answer is yes.

oh ok so basically don’t even bother logging into the game then by that logic… like why stop there, why bother doing anything in the game that you might want like chasing better gear or cosmetics? LOL
