I can’t find the big youtube poll. I don’t even remember who’s channel it was. When I was linked to it it was around 30k votes and 70% pro-lfd, but that was a few months ago. Anyone remember who that was?

My dear friend, have been a developer and program manager for 20 years for many types of software with life and death implications. The UI they developed wreaks of bad design, bad management, poor QA processes, and terrible planning. Moreover, the fact that they have access to the retail tool makes this terrible tool even sadder.
If you want to throw your resume up real quick I’m happy to show you how you’re wrong by listing mine.
I could have given this assignment to any number of even 2 year devs and had a better product with a 2 point 4 hour effort.
I will say I blame the software architect/design team/product owner far more than the dev for this…someone is asleep at the wheel or overloaded.

I call 100% absolutely BS. No sane person in the industry would have their head so far up their 
as to suggest a developer should be fired because they dont like “the LFD implementation.”
So either youre lying or a sociopath. 
But sure, we can trade CVs if you want. 
The clear lack of effort shown in the LFG tool and the poor decision to design a brand new tool rather than quickly port and modify something already written (retail tool) is something I would certainly release someone for.
The wasted cycles for this tool could have been used on many other things.

Your engineers would have absolutely nothing to do with the DESIGN of the LFD system. Like I said… You dont underatand how these processes work and youre clearly just lying on the internets (imagine I know!)

Like I said, the decision to try to design a tool from scratch at all would have been the product owners fault, who is clearly a moron.
Senior devs very often work with software architects and design teams. What are you even talking about?
No team is made up of one person. The problems with LFD such as even you imagine them have nothing to do with how its coded. If you dont like the aesthetic implementation/GUI then sure thats your prerogative as a consumer… but it certainly doesnt fall to the level of negligent development and it DEFINITELY doesnt concern the engineers.

Now It think you’re the one who is lying on the internet. The issues with the tool aren’t just UI/UX, they are in the supporting code. You can tell just by clicking through it where some of the issues are.
Maybe you’re right and the devs were TOLD to code it that way. I doubt it though. Oh and let’s not forget the devs have access to the RETAIL TOOL and could have simply modified that.
Just like they had a lot of good evidence in WoD that no flying is good for the game?
