Good job on being toxic to people with the transmog!

Which didn’t happen and you’re desperately trying to attempt to find any way possible to twist anything into your false narrative. It’s right there, black and white, plains as day, quoted for you. But sure, have fun with your delusions since you are obsessed with trying to be right. I’ll leave you to that. Feel free to have the last word and twist some more stuff.

Very true, but let’s unpackage this topic and debate it honestly. It is not a exaggeration to say that in the last 8-10 years we’ve seen online bullying and harassment explode like a massive tumor on the brain.

It has been 16 years since this game started. 16 years is nearly a generation’s time. Thus I do not believe it to be unfair or incorrect to say that gaming companies have both been willfully ignorant, or intentionally evasive about taking the necessary steps to combat these things.

Back in 2004 at the close of the internet’s infancy, I could of seen saying “put them on ignore” as the GMs proscribe, as being the go to solution. However, these days when the world is so much more interconnected, that’s simply not a viable solution because most of the people who engage in such behavior have a much deeper mental issue. They cannot discern right from wrong. They have no reason to, because in many ways they are like Daenerys Targaryen.

By this I mean that such people are almost completely insane, because they are completely assured that all they do is ‘right’. This is likely due to them being told for years how utterly and completely perfect they are. In lacking any belief in their own fallibility, they possess no sense of accountability, humility and no empathy.

They are the ones with the master plan. They are the ones who should be in charge. Why they could even design the game better than Blizzard. Does this delusion sound familiar? I think it does if anyone follows the forums with regularity.

Ergo it never enters their grey matter that what they do when they harass people wearing the transmog is utterly vile. Nor do they have the moral compass to really care. They don’t see it as bullying. They are ‘sticking it to the man’. That is why it must fall to third parties to make the change. The individual does not have the maturity to be the change.

What I do however know, is that Blizzard’s lack of action has allowed them to profit. Case and point, how many people do you think have changed their handles (paying Blizzard) over the years to get a fresh start, only for an addon like say Cogshanks to reveal their new characters; frustrating the purpose of the purchase?

When this happens time and again, and Blizzard is thunderously silent; there comes a point in time where one has to ponder the following: “Is Blizzard intentionally being ignorant of such scenarios, because it enriches them?” I would submit that this issue needs a lot more discussion, because contrary to what some may claim through edited screenshots, Bullying is never alright.

I believe that anyone who has a basic sense of intelligence, and a basic understanding of human progress from 2004-2020, cannot say with a straight face that such behaviors have not proliferated and increased to near common-place occurrence on the internet. This is because there are no consequences for bad behavior on the internet, and this needs to change.

So in your mind, your title “Good job on being toxic to people with the transmog!” means that you are referring to a group of people that are harassing others based on their transmog. You want everyone to assume that based on your title. Sounds more like click bait to me then. The fact is you generalized the player based with your title and are using anecdotal evidence of the words of your “friend” to back up your claims. :+1:

Well not on my main’s server - a lot of people running around with that transmog and no one cares. Trying for Moonguard now - so far nothing.

Ah, I love this one. That particular McDonald’s violated their own temperature regulations on their coffee machine, setting the temperature far higher than was allowed per their own restrictions. Additionally they failed to secure the lid on her cup.

Also, that woman had to have skin grafts for the burns and spent time in ICU. They deserved to be sued.

I don’t run group content in this game anymore either. This thread is a good example of why.

Also Mcdonalds totally tried to put all the blame on her when they broke the regulations

Yeah. Those burns too. They were grotesque looking.

Wasn’t just her legs either, didn’t she have some pretty serious burns to her lady parts? I hope her lawyer squeezed every cent they could out of McD’s.

This is disgusting behavior on their part Rhielle. I’m very sorry to hear that your friend left. I do hope he comes back and we can embrace the fairy transmog together as a community.

Spread kindness. Not hate.

Yes. It’s a (sadly) fascinating story and an incredible illustration of how easily people are manipulated by a heavily-pushed narrative, even one that’s against their own interests.

Truer words are rarely spoke. Have a like.

No one shold hate the fairy mog, but if some one asks if you think it’s cool, lol is the correct answer. Because no, no it’s not.

But that’s the thing Yog. That’s opinion, and opinion is subjective. If you think it’s “Lol” fine that’s your right and opinion. But someone else might think it’s cool and their view is equally valid. It’s not ever the individual’s right to decide what is right and what is wrong.

That is the very reason why we say “the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few”.

But this is a game. Not the freaking military.

Were fighting demons, orcs, dragons, and killing eachother, for 12 years. Now we got furries and fairy wings? It’s not my subjective opinion, if it were WoW would be millions of toxic pvp tryhards again. But most everyone hates it and here we are.

Such disgusting behavior to belittle another human for such an innocuous reason.

Wearing a transmog? You can’t even logically tie that to an individuals support of the cash shop as it’s received as a part of a loyalty program for having an active subscription.

These false crusaders aren’t protesting the sale of items on the shop, they’re attacking the games most loyal supporters. The ones who’ve had active subscriptions while the ones attacking them probably canceled theirs…unless they have the mog as well.

They claim Blizzard is hurting the game by having these items available for purchase but it’s obvious by their actions they don’t care about the health of the game, and certainly not the community that supports it.

They aren’t loyal, they aren’t just, they’re sad and it’s obvious they’re hurting. I just hope it’s not too late before they realize what is truly causing that anger they’re misdirecting at something they claim to love.

I agree that any streamer who openly railed against the product and ordered their toxic army of minions to harass people who use the product should be perma banned without question and all partnerships dissolved.

Yikes, did people forget what game they have been playing for the last 15+ years?

Gimme those buns :mask:
