Dropping brewmaster going into Season 2 and decided to start playing ret paladin.
610 right now.
Should I crank up my ilvl some more for keys? for 2’s and stuff.

More the better, realistically you can get around 620 very easy just through quests and stuff
I started at 616, you can start doing 2s with almost no ilvl it’s just a courtesy that you don’t completely grief other people’s time

I’d say somewhere around 625 would be comfortable. You can certainly start sooner if you are confident you can keep up with heal checks, of which there are a TON of in dungeons this season.

According to the people on pugs: Minimum CE Galliwix and 4.5K RIO, plus make sure your Ret has Lust. Otherwise git gud.

620 and a group of friends to run constantly.
It should be pretty easy to get up around 630 in a couple of hours running delves, as long as you don’t get any repeats.
Yeah, all jokes aside I’d say you can easily take a Ret to 625-630 ish in a single week with current delves, plus weekly chests, and drops happening in Undermine.
That puts you in a good place cause Ret can burst very nicely.
just remember to do everything you can to maximize as well, full enchants, gems, correct cyrce’s gems, and either S1 4-piece or double set-bonuses. Don’t break a 4-set bonus for higher ilvl unless you can get a 2-bonus for S2.
Watch videos if you haven’t done M+ before so you have a rough idea of how to dungeon is run.
And last thing… you can always start your own groups. It considerably improves your chances to “get accepted”.

This is basically a fresh 80 toon, so delves aren’t leveled yet.
Do four weekly activities for some gear and coffer keys, do 4 bountiful t8 delves, do the timewalking quest, do a tier 11 delve with bounty map for a hero piece. Fill in bad slots with 629 weathered crest crafted. You’ll be 630+ fast and easy.
Delve levels are unlocked account wide.

My paladin (the toon in question) doesn’t have them unlocked…
wait a second…neither does my main…wtf? did they change delve levels?
My main got Zekvir ?? achieve done, which required all delves unlocked.

It’s a new season, you have to go through them again. There is no more Zekvir, its all goblin Underpin stuff now.

They are super quick and easy to get back up to 8s.
8s still have the best gear for end of run and vault, but now they added gilded crests to the first 3 tier 11s that you do per week. Using a bounty map in a t11 will also give you more gilded crests and a hero piece, so don’t use the bounty on anything lower. You can get 31 gilded crests per week from three 11s and bounty.
m0’s give 636 gear, and heroics give 620, so you should really get close to that and then do all of your 0’s and then get into doing keys.

I did a +2 the other day on my forum character.
Tanked a Theater of Pain and it went swimmingly. 630 seems fine for it IMO.

Im 645 on my disc priest and still too nervous to go into a 2… ;-;
Low keys drop champ-level gear, so you’re probably expected to be at least veteran-level or somewhere in the 630-640 range at a minimum.
