I can’t post vids, in NZ we’ve had funny commercials forever. The bugger ads were extremely popular in their day, but there’s been so many good ones.

One of the most memorable commercials for me was for the Nissan 300ZX in the 90’s. Featuring Van Halen, an RC 300 ZX and GI Joe, Barbie and Ken look a likes, it became an iconic commercial that won a lot of awards. The guy at the end, Mr. K, appeared in a number of other Nissan commercials at the time. He was to represent Yutaka Katayama who brought Nissan to the US and is known as the godfather of the Nissan Z. It’s just a fun commercial.

90s commercials have insane staying power. I can still hear the entire Pure Moods commercial in my head from falling asleep with the TV on and waking up at 2 AM. That or Girls gone wild.

VW has often had good commercials and some quite memorable. I remember one for the VW Fox that featured music by Clannad which made the little known band suddenly popular.
Always thought this Golf commercial was fun. I owned a GTI at the time and a random stranger asked me if it came with the CD. lol Oh, and my GTI was red, like the one in the commercial. Horribly poor paint quality.
