Curious what people think on here. I’m looking forward to a smaller raid size in TBC.
Whatever comp allows the remaining 15 players to form their own group as well.
Should have a melee/tank group and a caster/healer group. Can interchange buffs around depending on what classes you have but a shaman in each group is huge.
What Badminou said. The difficulty is transitioning from 10 man to 25 man.
I’d say 2-3 healers, 2 tanks, and 5-6 DPS. Prot pallies are nice for Prince M. The rest is up to you and who you have attuned and ready to go.
Was every raid 10 man or were some 25 man only?
No raids had a gender requirement.
Karazhan and Zul’Aman were 10-player. The others were 25-player. The whole concept of raids having settings for variable numbers of players wasn’t added until WotLK.
What’s even worse than someone freely using the pronoun of their choice?
Someone policing the pronouns they use.
Anyway thanks for the info.
You must think you’re so clever and ‘progressive’.
Linguistics and language history is important, folks.
1-2 full-time tank(s)
1 flex tank (if no full-time tank)
2-3 healers (I don’t remember if content needs 3)
Fill with whatever DPS makes sense. Need interrupts? Rogue/warrior/mage. Need CC? Mage/warlock
I don’t think 10 mans are that strict on composition. Want to run 2 prot pally, 2 shaman, 6 bm hunter? There are probably some weak points but I’m sure it could be made to work.
Almost literally anything you want, but you’ll want AoE and Spell Steal.
“Man” is a neutral term.
In a 10 man it literally doesnt matter
There are 2 10 mans in Bc
Right, but the opening raid is a 10man that drops some T4 gear and is required for going forward. That means that you need to be able to field 2-3 Kara runs comfortably while having folks sit out for the 10mans or the 25mans, or use alts. Back in the day, the hype of TBC was pretty big, but a lot of guilds had folks just not really show up for raids once they hit 70 since they’d been on casual mode for so long and I knew a few guilds that handily, speedily, cleared Kara week after week multiple times but couldn’t get everyone to friggin show up to Gruul to even try him.
I don’t think that’ll be a problem this time around unless you’re one of those guilds that truly recreating the knows-nothing-this-is-so-neat experience guilds you run into every now and then on Classic.
Right, I’m sure that if someone showed you a picture of a man and a woman and referred to “the man,” you’d pretend you didn’t know which one of the two that was.
I suppose it shows more thought than Nebulona claiming “man” is a pronoun.
Yes. I agree lol
All I’m saying is it was a PITA for many guilds making that transition from Kara to 25 mans. The whole A team (the GM and all the handpicked good players) and B team (everyone else) thing. A good 25 man comp also doesn’t really split into two good 10 man comps.
Because it is also a gendered term as well, and context matters.
Nebulona was mocking those that demand speech restrictions.
I call it 10 man. You call it 10 woman.
What’s the problem? Treat everyone equally.
What in the world are you talking about? Do you even know at this point???
Literally any combo of tanks, healers, and dps of the correct number will clear Kara just fine.
