How would tou guys feel about a gold wipe. Anyone above 5kG gets brought down to 5k? I wouldn’t hate it tbh.

being realistic, everyone’s gold should be divided by 4 to bring back economy as it was in p6 before prepatch tbc.
if you have 100k, you get 25k. if you have 4k you get 1k.
warmane does gold wipes every year by dividing every player’s gold on inventory, bank and mailbox by 2 and it works.
this keeps economy stable.

No. I what world do you imagine people would accept such a move? Many folks’ version of endgame is to be a goblin, which is a valid style of play. This unfairly targets them. If you’re upset that someone has more gold than you, learn to make gold.

Feels pretty stable, tbh. A better solution would be to add gold sinks, like the wotlk vendor mount. But then you’d get the purists screeching about THAT ruining the game instead of “muh economy.” Makes more sense for Blizzard to do nothing and let things take it’s course.
Lol why a wrath vendor? Thats a horrible expac. Taking away gold every year would definitely be the way to go. Gold bloat makes certain things too trivial. And most of it is from bots anyway.

Have chromie sell a chronoboon that comes preloaded with full world buffs for 1000g, i guartee the lazy whales will buy it instead of getting buffs like normal

This is really what they should do. Release new 2 year cycle vanilla realms. Once the cycle is up, restart the server and drop everyones toons off on era. And just use those servers over and over.

I’ve never understood why people claim inflation is an issue in WoW. Sure, stuff costs more on the AH. Conversely, I can mine a few copper nodes and sell them for double digit gold before I hit level 10. It cuts both ways, assuming you’re engaging with the economy and not making all your money from vendoring items.

Fresh is a profit boost for gold sellers until the botting and RMT problems have a permanent solution.

Originally the 40/60 mounts, profession & skill training coss and the .5 quest chain were the curbs against inflation. They worked because gold farming at the time wasnt done on an industrial scale by legions of bots like it is now. Those static gold sinks are no longer sufficient.
And the money printer is brrrrrrring harder than ever before.
I would activate my sub with Gold for a month for it. Not even to play, just to be able to interact with the forums for a bit. This place would be pure comedy.
And? Blizzard is obviously not going to take care of botting no matter the mode. Fresh start is more fun that’s it.
There are more than 20 Classic Era realms available to choose from if you dislike the status of your current free transfer destination. No new realms are needed at this time.
