You could send gold between chars in a group but you still can’t do it to your same faction but different servers. This just makes no sense to me. Why Blizzard/Microsoft/Whatever?
Without a doubt, it would cause a great deal of server instability with regards to the economy.
If you feel that it’s something that they should do (I really hope they don’t though), then you’ll want to use the in-game suggestion feature or post over in the General forums.
The developers don’t come to the CS forums for feedback unfortunately, nor is CS involved in the development of the game
I bet its to help prevent RMT between hacked accounts.
Only way to do it is to buy an expensive pet and sell it on your server
This is happening in TWW tho, it is pretty much confirmed with cross realm guilds.
Gold and items will be transferable between realms with this. Put gold or item on guild bank, withdraw with other char on another realms…
The image of the warband bank at Blizzcon showed a shared gold pool. Maybe it will come to pass and allow a way to share gold cross server.
Yes you can. I’ve done it a number of times.
I farm for some rare transmogs on busy RP servers. I have a couple of low level characters and one of them had about 80k gold which could handily be put towards my next token purchase for my sub. I got a friend to group with my character on that other RP server, I gave her the gold, I logged off and she then gave me back the gold on my main server. (Note, it has to be someone on your bnet friends list.)
You can also do it other ways, but thats by far the easiest. All you need is a trustworthy friend (in my case it is my goddaughter who also plays WoW) and its easy as the proverbial pie.
You can easily trade stuff cross-realm/faction, though. Just not through mail, which I imagine is one of those “we’re afraid we might break the game by tinkering with it” type of things.
But hackers would love this no middle man.
What?
Hackers would love the ability to transfer gold off stolen accounts quick and easy without too much hassle.
