Gold transfer between my characters

Well i have 100+ gold in my bank character, i know it´s not that much but my question is, will i get banned for sending my gold to my main character ?, yesterday my friend told me that if u send ur gold through the mail system u will get banned even if u send the gold to your own characters because of the GDKP+RMT automated ban system, someone know something about this being true or not ?

If it’s on the same account, no. If it’s 2 accounts, yes.

Best bet is to log into both and trade in person.

no you wont get banned for same account transfers. your friend is misinformed. if its multiple accounts then probably

Unless that gold is botted, no you will not get banned. Anyone saying otherwise is busy trying to push a narrative.

This is not true. I’ve passed gold between my characters and I’ve passed gold between my friends and I, and nobody has been banned.

I do not recommend sending gold to players that are not on your friend list

Most likely

You will be fine as long as the gold isn’t illicit.

Ignore the fear mongering, moving gold is not going to catch you a ban if that gold is legit. If you do catch a rare false positive submit and appeal and you’ll be fine.

Same account or not, as long as the gold isn’t illicit you will be fine.

You are fine bud.

I thought this post was asking for instant mail between alts… we actually need that.

I am disappointed that this is probably just another “GDKP banned” thread.

They’re mailing themselves gold. They would probably know if it was illicitly gained or not.

Textbook they should not catch a ban.

This is not true.
You can send gold between toons on the same account or different accounts - Blizzard can see all of this.

If the gold came from suspect means, yes, yes you will. If the gold was actually earned (AH, farming, vendoring, quests, etc), no, no you won’t.

Yes you will be instantly banned and you deserve it.

they can detect tainted gold so the only real solution is to destroy it. To do this right click your gold and delete it. Then you can sleep with a clear conscience

You are just trying to make scare tactics.

I love how nobody trusts Blizzard on their word ever, but the moment a dev posts to Twitter that their way of monitoring RMT in-game is near foolproof everyone just believes them.

Do what you want, but keep your receipts.

I’ve been playing Blizzard games for decades, I know how this goes.

scare tactics. I find this kind of trolling super annoying.
Telling people to delete their gold is by far disgusting.

Not everyone has an agenda, but you absolutely do.

Oh, okay this is your angle.

You can carry on with that alone then.

Well, I just moved 35 gold from my Alliance rogue to my Horde shaman through the neutral AH, and every single copper of it was personally farmed by myself through questing, so if anything happens to me I’d say don’t risk anything of the sort

I’ve had no issues transferring gold between characters. If it’s on the same account, I’ll mail the gold. If I am transferring between my two accounts, I do the trade in person.

you mean like being intentionally obtuse and asking if actions that we all do everyday will get us banned now?

Disingenuous topics is the name of the game here right?

or do you actually think people are going to delete their gold now?

the latter would be very interesting.

my assumption is that you are playing the forum game as well, so I am not worrried.
