Gold Tipping PSA - Enchanting

Son of Hodir gives 300g per day doing 15 min worth of dailies? If that’s the case then I stand corrected however I have leveled mining/engineering to max and have 3.8k net worth.

I feel poor especially when everything in the AH is astronomical prices. IE Darkmoon Cards being 1500 to 10k.

As a pvper I’d like to log in and attempt the 25 man Naxx or raid content out, and pvp solely. I don’t want to have to grind dailies to afford these enchants that cost legit thousands atm.

I throw 30-50g depending on what I’m getting enchanted. Sure it’s hardly any work for them but I also tip well at restaurants so it’s carried over.

I assume your probably farming for saronite bombs or sappers if you are pvping then? Just sell so me of those on the side. Been making a killing selling Global Thermal Sappers and Saronite Bombs.

But yeah, sons is an easy chunk of gold to get and the quests are all really condensed and quick.

I tip in real life 15-25 % due to the fact I make money at a faster rate than Gold farming in WoW. Maybe I just suck at making gold.

Low level herbs depending on what server you’re on were selling quite well. Even northrend herbs were until bots tanked the market.

Go buy enchanter scrolls in the AH… Don’t be that rude… U need them, is another player’s gold income… Respect it

Goblins demanding a “minimum tip”? Couldn’t ever imagine…

Enchanters got it rough I see… Meanwhile Blacksmiths and Miners are charging an average 200g-250g for a Titansteel weapon or Titansteel Bar CD….

A vellum cost about 7g on my server.

This item allows you to post your enchants to the auction house.

This should essentially be the cost used to calculate tip.

You are saving the cost of the vellum and auction house cut by going directly to the enchanter.

20g definitely a stretch.
5-10g seems pretty solid.

Exactly bb, you got that hustle down!

Your logic is wonky.

If I am selling enchanted vellums on the AH, I will sell for beyond the mat cost to build in my profit. Let’s say the profit is 100g. The vellum cost brings that down marginally to 93g and of course the AH cut.

If I was to sell direct to the consumer the profit should match what I get on the AH but you would get a bit of a discount since I don’t have the vellum or AH cut.

To compare the vellum cost to a tip makes zero sense.

Grab the slightly worse weapon enchants and just save for DMC:G, you dont need either to steamroll the content, unless you are trying to join a guild that expects those.

what an awkward and terrible post you’ve made here. You’re either one of the best trolls or super entitled and I can’t tell which from the first post alone.

That sounds like a fee, not a tip. And that’s fine but i would call it a fee

Just buy green gems and the enchants that use dust/essences. The gems are 2 stats worse than blues and usually sell for 1/100th of the price, and the enchants are like 8 less ap and dont cost 6 crystals. no way you are out there arenaing every day lol, while you wait for people to join up for queues just do a daily or hell level your lockpicking. Always people wanting a rogue for lockpicking, then u can join OP about circle jerking for tips

It’s no longer a tip at that point, it’s just a fee.

So we should tip 20g to the person who uses a WA to invite players, a WA to add an enchant button next to the trade window, and has to click two times to enchant a piece of gear? All without moving an inch too mind you. Enchanting is basically printing money already and now it’s not enough? Nah sorry that’s not happening.

I respect it by buying it off the market for cheaper. No one cares about these bums on the side they’ve been replaced with the paper. And if you are running a business just tell me straight up the price. I’m not gonna sit here and read your mind on what how much I’m going to tip you. If I don’t like the price, I ain’t buying, simple.

I like how cheap players insist we advertise it as a fee when we don’t accept getting stiffed by them.

Move along, cheapo. Sorry you’re too poor to tip appropriately.

10g max, if the enchanter doesn’t like it I can easily find another one. Nobody has ever said anything bad about a 10g tip
