Gold sync idea

If there’s too much gold in the game how do we get it out of player hands?

We have some expensive mounts sold by vendors. But what about a well of goodwill?

For those who don’t know, the well of goodwill is a place in RuneScape where you throw gold into a well.

This gold is taken out of the game permanently, and every 1 million gold is converted into a real dollar that jagex donates to charity.

Could this work in wow? Would it be good for the economy?

Search your feelings young padawan and you will know the answer.

No. They would never devalue tokens like that. :joy:

ftfy. now it will work in the world of warcraft.

The fastest way is higher auction house fees. I can list 200 soul dust for like 1s in fees. Make the fee 5g. Same with other curent mats. That would also cut down on cancel scanning, so double bonus.

IMO best thing they could do is create another currency higher than gold, like platinum, and make copper obsolete.

But it wouldn’t matter as long as the token exists and is tied to real money.

Wait a minute, so you throw gold in the well and you get nothing?

No, that won’t work in wow

Sure some people will do it, I’m sure someone will make a video of themselves donating gold cap so they can get some likes and followers on youtube but the rest of the community gold is staying where it’s at
