this will only get worse and if you were around back then you’d remember they are impossible to get rid of.

Not that I’d buy gold but I did check the site of a spammer, to see what it’s worth and they don’t even offer gold on classic yet.
Silly spammers gold is for retail

will be more difficult for them this time around because you need an actual sub to play classic.
A big part of the issue, I thought, was trial accounts.

I absolutely did. I didnt when I was younger because I didnt understand how it ruins the community, but now I do and I will and always will report these people.

lol no they used hacked accounts and left messages in corpses long before trials existed.
gold spammers are back! what a time to be alive!
That should also be pretty damn difficult today, what with authentication and such.
Was a helluva lot easier to hack an account 15 years ago.
Edit: of course, that doesn’t mean it won’t happen. I’m still a realist 
The problem is Blizzard usually doesn’t do anything about it, I remember seeing the same gold spammers in Wrath stay through the entire expansion…
If Blizzard would actually take a stance and ban them then it would be unprofitable for them to keep making new accounts.
Gold sellers. This is all part of the classic experience.
