Gold rewards

Hello!

As a returning/new player, I was wondering about gold rewards in quests. I will often times do side quests for the fun of it, but constant rewards have taught me to think about them despite or even instead of the fun. To get to the point: the gold rewards of quests.

What current gold sinks are there, except mounts and tmogs? As I complete quests and get gold, towards what can I tell myself “I’m progressing”, that’s obtainable by gold?

I know this might be way too late and you’ve already figured it out but legendaries and flasks and food seem to be the biggest sinks outside what you mentioned. Besides those For alts I almost never seem to find anything I want to spend gold on aside from the occasional lower priced battle pet or mount or an island expedition transmog that I don’t want to sink the time into.
