Game was not designed with such low level caps and the gold inflation resulting from level capped quest gain. Many people are just chain running dungeons and then doing all the quests at 40, just like they did at 25, except now it’s worse with 2 or 3 zones of quests to run for gold in P1 to now close to 8 or 9 zones in P2, which happens to include what is arguably the most quest-dense zone in the whole game. This breaks the spirit of the game, and the intended design of doing both quests and dungeon runs like the game was initially balanced for. This is made worse by the dungeon reset cap sharing to all SM zones, which means you can run two dungeons ten total times and never actually meet the lockout, resulting in many runs with no penalties for most of the way from 25-40.
For everyone too lazy to actually read the thread;
They should make it so the quest rewards the original coin amount plus 2 silver if you’re max level. That’s it. Two silver more for waiting until you were done leveling to do the quest.
I disagree. It may have been a neat concept back when the game was first released, and perhaps while it was being developed and balanced around it in further expansions, but now people take advantage of it and there’s no reason why you should get more from something you bypassed completely. It was meant to be a reward for “thinking outside of the box” with how you approached content, but now it’s just there to reward people who play at the faults of the game.
The reward for quests outside of its reward level or beyond the level cap should just be about reputation, that’s it. No extra money (outside of what it initially offers) or other rewards.
The cap was never intended to be 25 and 40, it’s way too “easy” to get those levels from dungeons, and the gold reward was never meant to be available to levels that low.
It will be inflated because of Mage farming long before that.
Theres a whole big world out here…a legit life to live…check it out sometime…might just gain a legit personality. Until then…ima get these gold gains…toodles.
