So with the economy taking a beating on my wallet these days, I’m really cutting back on a lot to stay a float. Even though $15 a month may seem small, I’m having to consider the cost.
So, now I’m considering using my time on WoW to farm up gold for a WoW token to fund my gametime.
I’ve never really been deep into farming gold but I would greatly appreciate some tips or advice to be able to afford one.
Investment costs in equipment overhead and mineral rights and teaching yourself how to pan gold. What if we could do that in Warcraft? Panning skill = more gold found.
This is the most original idea I’ve heard in a long time for this game. That is a neat concept!
Honestly? Go gather. YouTube will be your best friend.
Look at getting addons like ‘worth it’ and TSM.
There are steps online, now with AI, it can give you faster answers even.
It’s that you can either; offer boosts in end game content if you are good at it and can find a group that helps.
Otherwise, you either put in the gold to level crafting professions but that’s not adviseable for now in your position.
Soooo. Once you get TSM and Worthit addons and watched some ez youtube videos so you can get started. Worthit kinda shows prices of things you can farm if you set it up properly.
Don’t overwhelm yourself with all the info, digest it bit at a time.
Go fish. Go gather herbs and mine ore (while leveling those two professions), and sell everything you get. Baby steps but once you find an ebb and flow, making gold ends up being kinda easier.
Once you can be gold-stable, consider reading up on midnight crafting professions and go try the discord at woweconomy to talk about their perspective. Take in the knowledge and NEVER outright just ask HOW TO MAKE MILLION , or you’ll get shunned lol.

Having many 90 alts requires no more investment than your time. Weeks like this with The Arcantina as the weekly you can make 2-3k average x # of 90s for just a few minutes work each.
Same for just doing brain dead Abundance once on each for the box gold.
Petrified Roots from Delves is still easy gold if you are going to do them anyway.
A little late to get into Profs or gathering at this time; markets have stabilized or diminished.
Gold-reward World Quests world-tours to scrape the bottom out. I do all this on about 27 alts currently!
If you are looking to just pay the monthly sub, probably the easiest way is to farm gold WQs on multiple characters.
Just something worth considering. You could spend 40 hours farming gold for a wow token every month, or 3 hours driving for Uber or Lyft for a wow token every month. If you’re just trying to pay your sub there are more efficient ways than gold farming.
Midnight drops a lot of easy gold, but it depends how many alts 80+ you have. Here’s a basic list of activities you can do on all your characters level 80 and over you can do every week. At a minimum its around 2000g per bag.
It’s at least 10k gold per character every week.
This is the unfortunate truth. It takes probably 10 hours minimum to farm $15 worth of gold.
Do all the world quests that reward gold with War Mode on and on all of your alts. I think I’ve already made around 200k doing that from time to time. I have a lot of alts.
Alliance-side on Moon Guard, hit up Goldshire. Be prepared to degrade yourself.
Make profession alts. You can look up how to level earthen quickly with exploration XP and an addon or level other races a bit more slowly in more traditional ways (which will be a bit faster in .7 due to xp buffs).
Every 3-4 days log into each alt and use their concentration to make rank 2 mats or consumables. Sell them on the AH.
All you have to do is level the character, fly around getting profession treasures and buy mats on the AH (put them in your warbank since you can craft with warbank mats). Also buy multicraft tools and a multicraft enchant which are much cheaper now than they were early expansion.
Prices of stuff are somewhat low now but it’s still profitable to make potions especially. Recklessness potions require a recipe you buy for marl but are the best gold per conc for alch. They also require level 81, most other prof alt stuff only requires 80. If you don’t have a lot of extra marl to buy recipes for alts you can also do light potions or flasks.
Jewelcrafting prisms were a ton of gold per conc early expansion but aren’t worth much now. Maybe in season 2 some other professions will go back up but for now alchemy is probably the best bet for concentration alts.
You could also make lotus farming mulch alts and park them in Hara town, log in every so often, use mulch and pick a flower for a guaranteed lotus though lotus aren’t as expensive as they were. Use your warbank cooldown from the general spell tab to put them in your warbank and you can sell them on an AH character. Just need to get herb treasures and level herb to 25 and spec into imbued mulch.
You could also do things like gold world quests on numerous alts but that’s more time consuming. You can also do weekly events on multiple alts for the weekly bag that has 2k+ gold in it.
Literally, just play the game. You can easily earn 300k a month just by doing normal stuff.
I havent earned jack as of late because mainly I have been logging on for Raid.
This is one of worst expansions to make gold .With that said try gold world quests in warmode for bonus 10%, farm delves for petrified root if you have crafting skills look for work orders in chat..Try fishing in voidstorm.It will be difficult to recoup gold spent on tokens you would have to farm for most of your playtime.

Making a lot of random gold this week just from caches and petrified root. My blacksmith is starting to pick up some public orders as well.
Things are looking up.
