My goal was never to farm gold for hours playing SoD. Been there, done that. I just don’t have the time anymore.
Will something be done about the crazy inflation of prices since the phase was release?
What do you think happened? They flooded the market with incursion gold and increased gold rewards from supply crates last phase. Didn’t do much about the bot problem in the start. There is so much gold floating around now that this is the new norm.
I know what happened, I don’t feel forced to level a certain way. Maybe I should but i preferred to level the good old way. Just cant afford any of what I need to actually be part of a raid group.
I was told by the forum economists that everyone having 1000g wouldnt make things expensive.
A new phase happened. Its been out for 5 days, naturally new profession stuff is over priced.
The injected millions of gold into the economy since phase 3, its supposed to be a fun seasonal server yet instead they want people to spend all their time farming or resort to buying gold to compete. Basically that or quit.
It’s like an entire phase of GDKP happened in about 2 days.
So we get to see a jarring snapshot of what a certain group of defenders declare only happens on servers that are years old and depopulated.
Where are the bots keeping mat prices down?!?!?!

In all seriousness- this is the first time I’m actually concerned for SoD.
The massive infusion of gold is something we avoided in Phase 2, but got an entire Phase 2 worth of gold infusion in a matter of days via the NIs.
Between that, the raid getting wild changes before the first lockout ends, and some severe bugs… I don’t know that it will mortally wound SoD, but the economy just took a big jump towards the GDKP dumpster fire that is Era.
How in the living hell did you arrive at that conclusion lmao

I had thought they were locking Trades/AH early on saturday morning so they could freeze gold transactions to trace down and start cutting out gold acquired from NI down by 75% to the intended amount…
Doesn’t seem that it was the case.
Wait until the early phase rush is done, prices should go down.
This is why I stopped playing a couple weeks into phase 2. I wish I had the time to go hard and earn the gold, but unfortunately life won’t permit it.
I imagine they’ll go down a bit, but with the amount of people able to just buy the cheaper stuff and flip it back to the ‘better price’ for them… It’s never going to be a normal economy again, let alone before 3-4 lockouts of the 8 total we get for P3.
It was supposed to be a casual mode, something everyone could experience. I knew the moment the “grey parser” insult garbage started where this was going to go. Should have dropped out then.
The same thing that happened week 1 of Phase 1 and Week 1 of Phase 2.

Think about the US after covid when we printed money for ppl and businesses. Prices skyrocketed. Took a bit but theyve leveled. Same will happen here.
