Gold farming theory

Blizzard only made these changes to force the gold farmers in to buying more tokens to compensate for the fact that WoW classic has a bigger gold market than retail does. One way or another, they get their token money.
The gold farmers are not paying for their tokens btw, we are  They convert Classic G to retail G at an INCREDIBLE rate and just pay for it that way. (with your money. The money you bought the token for to convert to classic G at a worse rate than when they converted to retail.)

Essentially what I am trying to say here, and i hate that it is the conclusion that I have come to but, Classic just needs to have WoW tokens. Gold is obviously already readily available, the farmers just need competition to actually cut in to their profits and not make it as lucrative. 1 flyhacking ZG bot can make $120 dollars a day in gold, the sub is 1/240th of what the bot makes in a month.

(BTW, I’ve never bought or sold gold. Not hard to look up the prices.)

Theory I have is…

  1. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks to ban a bot.

  2. The 30 instance lock out every 24hrs increases a bot lvl time by 4 times.

Next part exploits

  1. It cuts down on the amount of exploits to dungeons.

Exploits are pathing, boost(to a certain amount which we get the 30 lockout) , flying in the instances, or anything that was never intended by the original dev team.

I believe a few fixes will be coming soon enough.

  1. Pathing

  2. X and Y axis

  3. Boundaries = death (Instances)

Still doesn’t stop the plaguebloom bots that are currently plagueing the realms, dude. They are still going to camp 2/3rd the nodes and take in the plaguebloom and lotus money and vend that way. I dunno about your server but pbloom is over 50g and lotus were just 200 on mine. They’ve automated more than just instances, and with the changes currently being made the farmers are just going to make more money :stuck_out_tongue:

as for it taking 2-3 weeks to ban a bot, it took blizzard like 6 months to ban any bots =\

Really I just kill anything that moves and I get about 1 to 3 lotus a day and stacks of plague bloom.

With these changes my $$ went up and honor.

I beat you to this point yesterday lol. And even said “put on your tin foil hats” because of course there is no action being taken… they want us to be so desperate for a bot solution that we would be ok with a wow token. And i would personally rather have 99% bots on every server than wow tokens. Especially considering that they could fix this issue in a matter of minutes if they wanted

but why is “fixing” dungeon farming even an option? it was in vanilla and it should be in classic wow simple as that…we signed up for the classic experience. Blizzard was well aware of dungeon farming before they released classic. defiantly agree the flying hacks and bots need to go…im in between on the boosting if its a fair exchange between players then if people want to spend the gold let them…but dungeon farming has been a viable gold making method since the original release.

Did ppl do it in Vanilla? Far and few did.

This effects the meta of what classic was.

If changes happen it should be with the meta /core of Vanilla in mind.

Only thing I can see that is off is the additional 4 bag spots. Because no real risk vs reward and gives new players advantages. It’s just reward which fits more with retail. I am not against it because it fights cheaters and bots.

Now if they make new content for classic it will depend if it fits into classic meta.

If not u will see me QQ on forums. I am ok with changes as long as it sticks to vanilla core aspects/meta.

Meaning everything u do is meaningful regardless of old or new content, risk vs reward, itemization, and more I can list.

You lost me. I don’t know any way to “convert Classic gold to retail gold”. That literally makes no sense. That doesn’t exist.

Botting in retail, to pay for accounts (that include Classic) makes sense. I can understand that.

Buying/selling either kind of gold for US dollars makes sense. But why would you convert dollars to retail gold to pay for subs with? Why not just pay with the dollars and save a step?

No go back to retail and stop trying to bring your retail nonsense over to us

they trade the classic gold for retail gold at a better than $20 to $20 ratio. The gold trading is within TOS boundaries so it attracts a market of people who are scared to deal in RL cash for G so they take the bad conversion rate.

@Aasiya you obviously aren’t very passionate about classic if you’ve only made it to level 20

I don’t follow how anyone things Tokens will do anything but further devalue gold in Classic. It is a terrible idea that should never be implemented.

By your logic we could saybots were in vanilla so we must keep them. How does the no changes crowd like that logic

re-read my response please before trying to confirm “my logic” how do these changes effect open world bots? or bots with multiple accounts across different realms? bots move in a systematic pattern that programs can easily pick up…they have bot detections in many games such as old school runescape…there is a HUGE difference between someone who is playing the game and putting in the time and effort to lvl a class, learn the methods to farm gold or xp then someone who turns their bot on and walks away from their computer… your logic is flawed…like i said in my post “bots and hackers need to go” dont punish people trying to play the game because blizz cant take the time to take care of the botting issue… its a lazy fix
