Has anyone thought about the “clear old raids” method for gold farming in MoP? It used to be a reliable way to make money because of the raw gold the bosses drop and sometimes rare items, but I’m wondering how reliable it will be in the "classic’ environment. I’m guessing professions will reign supreme but without botting it’s hard to keep up.

i doubt it will beat doing 1 gdkp a week. selling challenge mode runs might be another good gold making method, at least the first few months

The best way to farm in Classic is GDKPs. The bots have everything else covered and the p2w kiddos funnel all that gold to GDKPs. Since Blizz does next to nothing about RMTers and botters in Classic it’s not worth the time trying to farm.

I seem to recall in MoP that the gold in ICC was nerfed because of people farming it.
i used to make a TON of gold selling the elixir of ancient knowledge. they were worth a hefty bit early on in mop, who knows what theyll be worth this go around.
and as someone mentioned above, challenge mode sales and pvp arena boosts are a good source of income if you’re not gdkping.

Gold was nerfed and vendor value for item drops was nerfed too.
MoP also doesn’t have the “solo old raids” tuning retail does, so there’s classes that cannot solo Wrath raids at all (no one can solo Cata raids), and there are still plenty of fights that are impossible to solo. Not a good gold farming method.

I love the tacit acceptance of the Classic community RMTing an iteration of the game made for nostalgia. It’s kinda sad tbh.
Blood dk can solo everything up to dragon soul in MoP, warrior with second wind can do atleast up to tier 5 (i was soloing for ashes of alar on dk and warrior every week)
Actually, speaking of blood dk, you can start soloing MoP raids on blood dk during MoP so. I’d recommend.
RMT isn’t illegal since the introduction of the token. As long as you RMT through Blizzard they do not care.
RMTing was never “illegal”. Not enforcing ToS is the same as not having ToS.

They banned GDKPs in SoD and spent all of their effort on SoD. Weird how that works.
