I have been looking up videos and using add ons and to try and find ways to get more gold and farm it, and its all mostly the same thing especially for the raw gold farms in dungeons and raids like skyhold and blackrock foundry. The problem i am having with this, is the numbers they put out are way different then what i get, like 9k for a blackrock foundry run? Like hell!! Can some mentally functioning people give me a good direction to start farming gold?
Well I think the majority of gold in raw farms like that is from vendoring the gear you get, not the actual gold drops
Oh and as for farming gold I’m no use there, the most I’ve ever had on me is about 100k. I’m very bad at gold farming. I don’t have any professions on any characters, never have never will. I don’t even know how to get started with all that stuff. Nor do anything AH related because idc tbh. And raw gold farms are boring IMO so I don’t farm so I’m useless here.

ik that, but even with the selling the drops the numbers seem really off the mark of what im actually getting.
I feel like those prices include what the player sold on the AH, which will give wildly inaccurate numbers as AH prices vary server to server.
On my dead server, Netherweave bags are at 9g (regardless of the player who sent me an unsolicited note telling me that since the mats were listed at higher prices, the bags should be higher, too - this was clearly someone new to the realm).
On my busier servers, they were still 20g or so last I checked.
Raw gold drops and gold from vendoring boss drops will likely not be anywhere near that number.

Changing server has crossed my mind, but how fast does things sell on lower to medium pop servers? Im on dalaran so things go by quick, but all the prices have been totally killed…
the 9k for Blackrock Foundry was probably multiple runs
you can do LFR,Normal,Heroic, and Mythic lockouts during a week for some raids

The AH is a gamble. You may net 9k per run this week, but next week the mats plummet and you make 4k. It’s not worth it to switch servers, but may be worth trying a bit on your current server.
Otherwise, Letsthrowit could also be right. I hadn’t thought of that.

then, I go to the instance location and do Normal
it’s different lockouts so you can do both
i’m up to 4.5 million right now, after going broke last December buying longboi.
i don’t specifically farm for gold. all of it is from what 20 level 120s earn from world quests & emissary rewards and never spending on anything other than repairs and profession recipe training

The gold farming videos always seem to say you will make a ton of gold… I dunno.
As for the AH, It may be harder to make gold on the AH lately, everyone is trying to make gold for the long boy.
This is the real answer. Learn to play the AH. That’s where the real gold is. Instance farming can be fun from time to time but it gets old very fast.

I did it a few times out of boredom, it’s about 7.2k gold IME, but that’s for clearing Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. Not just one full clear. If you include LFR you probably get that 9k number though.
If you’re really into raw gold farming instances you park all your toons at the instance entrance and make it part of your weekly routine. Those types of farms are ok with one character, but don’t really gain traction unless you are running at least a couple of alts to fuel the value.
Just going to be honest.
The easiest way to get gold are carries, and/or paying for token. Raw gold farms have been nerfed over the years and we are currently in a sellers market. The last big AH surge was corrupted BoEs.
Sadly, everyone is done with BfA so they are farming old raids and Matt’s (herbs and ore). On top of multiple ppls at home now due to the virus and schools out, adding to additional gold farmers. Basically the market is saturated. The only way to really make “a lot” of gold is to find something that hasnt been over farmed or AH’d. Good luck!
Do you have a list of the raids that are set up like that? I tried to google, but was unsuccessful… or I am terrible at wording the search properly.
HFC is about 3.1k per run, so N/H/M is a bit over 9k. Shouldn’t take more than 25min per run.
Iron Docks, Blackrock Caverns are about 5.5k per 10 runs (should work out to just over an hour for 10 runs so you won’t catch the lockout period).
These things are super tedious tho and climbing to 5M like this will drive you crazy.
If you are into farming old raids for mounts you can kind of combine gold farming with raid mount farming so it doesn’t feel quite as soul crushing.
