Imagine if they just banned the bots then none of this would be happening. But these days the bots are probably 40-50% of their subscriber base.
They ban a lot of bots…eventually. But they foster an environment where it’s advantageous for bots to keep coming back.
They need to hire GMs. They need to monitor and police the game in real time. Ban them instantly. Don’t wait weeks or months. Ban the buyers too. One strike and your account is closed.
But they won’t do that. So they do ridiculous things like this which will lead to even more gold buying. And also sell more tokens. So maybe that’s what it’s about.
Running old raids on the weekends while hanging out in disc with gamer friends was one of the only reasons i played this game - I cancelled my sub, nobody asked for this change and bots/gold sellers will still continue to profit regardless of this change - sad, Blizz continues to be out of touch with the players in their community

Make sure you delete all those characters on the way out and uninstall all WoW software. Otherwise you are just not serious about leaving.

It’s a horrible decision on Blizzard’s part. It takes away the immersion of being an RPG. You had to be a well geared 90 to pull it off without great effort. Blaming the problem on another problem they refuse to fix is a joke. It’s 100% greed & laziness from this “small indie company.” Makes me not want to log-in as much tbh.
