I dont see why we cant get the year sub mounts if we pay with gold… If you buy a year sub its like $13 / month and you get the mounts, if you pay with gold blizz is getting $20 / month and we get nothing … I dont see the logic here
Probably because tokens are monthly and 6 month/1 year subs lock you in.

So does the 1 year sub with gold lol , you can buy up to 4 years at once with gold
But that’s a per token basis and just stacking them vs a 1 year sub outright.
You get rewarded for committing to a year vs just dropping 1 month x12.
I dont see your point since if you buy 12 tokens its 1 year sub, same as just making one payment with money for 1 year sub
So you can’t turn tokens into Battle.net bux and buy a year sub? Or if you do, you don’t get the mount?
That said, didn’t they make a change that you need to pay cash for at least one month out of the year now?
It’s not. A 1 year sub is a lump sum that locks you in. If you buy 12 tokens. That’s 12 tokens. That’s 12x1 (1st month, 2nd month, 3rd month… etc) , not just 12 outright.
So not only do you get a discount, but you get rewards for locking in for a full year instead of 1 month + 1 month + 1 month…

Are you buying tokens and using them in game?
Or are you buying tokens and putting them towards your BNet Wallet?
Because if you put them into your bnet wallet I don’t see why you wouldnt get the mount for buying a 12month sub
Tokens are a 30 day commitment. Not a 365 day locked in commitment. Also, they already made that $20 from the person who sold it to you, and not from you.
Bro my sub expires in 2027 i bought a 3 year sub with tokens, how is that not commitment ?
Did you pay physical cash for those 3 years? In the form of 6mo or 12mo subs? because that is the actual promotion. They don’t say in there or trade us 12 tokens. 
it’s the difference between buying a house and renting one.
You get the mounts as long as you have an actual subscription set up.
You can keep pushing the subscription renewal date out as far as you want using gold. As long as you have an actual sub with a future renewal date, you get the mount.
What about an achievement for paying with tokens all year that rewards a mount or two?
I’m considering the year just to get it out of the way and have that “come and go as I please” feel.
Theres really no point of buying sub with money if i have like 3 years, and probably get more once thats out,
Ah, your gripe is with setting up a new sub and them still charging you for another 12 months, rather than just setting up the sub to renew at the end of your game time. I don’t disagree with you. It’s just a money grab.
